dude, people wonder why i shit on android constantly, why would you ever produce a product that can just, do shit like this, it’s awful. (to be clear, i hate IOS as much, for the same reasons)

And its only worse with manufacturer flavors of android, samsung loves shipping a bunch of useless apps that you can’t even remove.

and no, i don’t want to hear about rooting. Just call me when you guys figure out how to make an actual OS.

nexussapphire ,

Your negativity sucks but at least it’s not targeted at anyone. It’s just souring people’s attitudes.

this seems like a good situation to hear about rooting but go off

The man I’ve come closest to falling in love with was a short, chubby, hair-thinning, stuttering goofball. He kept himself clean, well-groomed, and wore nice clothes that fit him.

He was so passionate about what he loved (art, cats, and European history) that I couldn’t help but be absolutely smitten. His sincerity had me smiling from ear-to-ear every time I saw him get excited. Telling me about pieces of armor, paintings, music, and all kinds of other things, taking me to different places the way he spoke so happily about the things he cared about.

People can, more often than not, see through insincerity. Be real with what you like & who you are. The people who appreciate those things about you the real ones.

buttfarts ,

No…no…no… the only way is to catfish and lie because nobody will love you ever. The most you can hope for is to momentarily fool somebody into thinking your are something other than what you are for one hot second. That’s just Interwebz 101

Yes I’m sorry my bad. Fake it until you’re massively insecure and hateful because you feel you can’t be yourself for the sake of attracting feeeeeemale attention. Then wallow in your misery when you realize that the problem might be a deep-rooted personal issue, but be sure to blame it on “normies” & wimmin instead of taking steps towards self-improvement and personal growth. ✨️❤️💵🤡🎉🎺❤️✨️

Lovely man, but he had some issues to work out. Wished him the best and forced myself to move on.

Oof arrested at work. That’s crazy bad.

They do have a point about not being told why though. I had two tickets a long time ago and nobody would tell me what they were for. They just wanted the money. If it’s in the system and you can see it on your computer it should also say what it is. That’s pretty ridiculous.

But I never had to dodge paying for the kids I had, so… Lol

The idea of getting outside of the Google ecosystem is intriguing. I have a pixel 8. Is there a website that I can go to to learn how to switch? My battery just drops like a stone.

UndercoverUlrikHD ,

Check out Graphene OS, it supports the pixel lineup and is pretty easy to install if you know how to read and copy paste.

slickgoat ,

Thanks Man. Ill do some research.

RubberElectrons ,
@RubberElectrons@lemmy.world avatar

I’d go with CalyxOS. Install is also easy, but graphene touts allowing Google play services to be used… The very part of the picture that drew you to this comments section. You don’t have to install it in graphene, but then almost no apps work right.

CalyxOS use microG, a fully open-source spoof of Google play that is super light on battery, allows most apps to work fine (including banking), etc. Some apps like Pokemon go don’t, however.

floridaman ,

Graphene sandboxes Google services heavily, and is enabled and used only at user discretion. It doesn’t get higher priority than any other user application on the device. Calyx is alright but I would recommend Graphene much more than Calyx. I don’t like either of these though unless you are a privacy nut. If you just want to get out of Google, LineageOS works plenty well although without many of the creature comforts of a stock ROM.

smokin_shinobi , to games in Buy 7 Days to Die at your own risk

I was blown away they wanted 45 bucks. I feel like I saw it for 7 dollars a few times a year.

bassomitron ,

Probably their last attempt at milking more money out of it before it’s forgotten to time. I was wondering if Xbox or PlayStation have a hard time limit on how long an EA game can remain in such a state, seeing as this one has been in “alpha” for over 10 years on PC and 8 years for PS4/XB1.

Either way, the game is janky as hell. I’ve tried getting into it, but the jank is just too much to ignore for me. It’s insane they’re asking $45 for such an unpolished mess that’s pretending to be complete and hasn’t really added much meaningful content in ages.

thesporkeffect , to insanepeoplefacebook in Sovcit says cops are private contractors and all arrests are illegal.

SteveFromMySpace , to games in Buy 7 Days to Die at your own risk

I’m not saying the game is worth $45 but I am also struggling to square how someone can have over 1000 hours across two machines in a game and say it’s not worth $45 lol

thallamabond OP ,

I literally bought and played two different games that aren’t this game. And both were better than this. It’s the nature of pre release.

SteveFromMySpace ,

So your reasoning for whether a game is worth the price or not is if there is a better game for the same price?

thallamabond OP ,

I said that dumb.

7 days to die is a different game now than when I bought it.

My main point with this point is $45 is too much.

SteveFromMySpace ,

Ahhhhh ok that’s makes sense haha

Raspberry PIs don’t have a proper GPU with decoding. That’s part of why they stink. The other issue is that they are locked to the Raspberry Pi kernel. They are absolutely proprietary!
