Depends. Since this is security software it probably has a kernel driver component. I think in linux a 3rd party kernel module could do the same. But the community would not accept closed source security software, especially not in the kernel.
My Debian system was bricked when it “upgraded” to systemd.
Required attaching a monitor to a normally headless server to fix. (Turns out systemd treats fstab differently and can hang booting if USB drive isn’t attached.)
Steam, a 3rd party program, has nuked the home directory of users who didn’t really do anything wrong.
Programs have huge abilities to bork systems, be it Windows or Linux…
I’ve seen RHEL completely crap itself due to a 3rd party update. Wasn’t that long ago fairly certain it was a McAfee update that took down a bunch of our Linux boxes. It happens.
Illegal in some states I think. Fun fact when the term jaywalking was introduced, the term jay was a legitimate insult, meaning something like country bumpkin
I don’t know that they would buy Trump as Pharaoh. For one thing, the Pharaoh had to take part in a ritual called Heb-Sed, which included him running around a ceremonial track.
I don’t see Trump being willing to do that. Which meant goodbye Pharaoh.
It went really well! Stoked this is an option. After muddling through initial config I’ve found it very easy to use. Still a lot to learn this is all super new to me.
What she should be asked is what authority is keeping the information hidden and yet allowed to be disseminated across so many people? What reason would it be best left a secret? What happens if it’s aliens, and there is proof that the Maori defended the earth thousands of years ago?
He was gifted 400k, just not by BK. The post doesn’t say it was BK, even though it insinuates that. It’s technically correct, but it has a clearly deceitful intention.
The better way to have worded that post was to say, “A Burger King worker, who never missed a day of work in 27 years, was gifted $400k from a GoFundMe setup by his daughter.”
But that would mean being intentional and using more words. Can’t have that when you want to be spicy and increasing your engagement with ambiguity.
Congratulations? If you use anything beyond stock apps it means you downloaded it, and accepted the privacy policy for it. Even with automatic updates, you logged in and accepted the policy as well. You don’t want it? Erase the app. Freeze it, don’t use it, whatever.
What’s worse is that you don’t even show the permission menu, you just show a notification.
Do what you want, but take at least responsibility for what you accept
That the stock app from my phone. Since a year the manufacturer started to update stock apps and they started to ask more and more permissions. It reached levels so bad that I am looking at the fairphones but I don’t have the money yet. Maybe in a few months or a year. You are very agressive, I hope you fine and if you go thru hard time, keep the head up it will be better later.
