China makes a statement that celebrates whenever something bad happens in the USA. The CCP are very much opposed to the USA. They’re also in constant territory disputes with neighboring nations and have recently consumed neighboring nations. TikTok is not a private or public company. It is a military Operation. It is run by military personnel on a military site.
Right, that would make a lot of sense to do about the country that’s openly hostile to you. Oh, China has territory disputes with neighbors? The US will literally fucking bomb you to nothing for your oil, and/or stage a false flag coup to overthrow your government if they won’t sell them oil. We have also used corporate espionage to rewrite the laws of several South American countries into ineffectiveness, for the benefit of a fruit company. The two are not remotely comparable on foreign policy.
Everything wrong with the USA is worse with China, because China is a literal Militaristic Dictatorship. Kill you for Oil? Check. Genocide? Check. Disappeared by the Intelligence Agency? Check. Internment camps? Sweatshops? Stealing people’s land? Taking away their rights and means of defense both physical and legal? China is worse in every imaginable category.
And that makes sense. When society fails to govern itself, then the government treats society like worms. China is an end all threat to all of humanity, itself included.

China is actively supplying Middle Eastern Nations the same as the USA, and they also claim complete control over Taiwan. They’re also funding the Russia-Ukraine war by stockpiling massive amounts of oil from Russia. I think that more than qualifies the “kill you for oil” statement.

They actually have hired modders many times and I believe at least on a few games incorporated things originally from mods, so that’s not a great example. I get your point, but heavily modded Bethesda games have been some of my favorite gaming experiences ever, so I probably hope it never goes away.

And don’t get me wrong here, I don’t want modding to go away either, there has been some fantastic stuff done by the community.
It would just be nice if there was a bit more polish here and there. I’ve played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, both without problems.
But Skyrim is the one game I can never actually finish, because there’s always some stupid bug or glitch that prevents me from progressing at some point, with or without the patch.

Hell, I've been playing Super Ghouls N' Ghosts for damn near 25 years now off and on, and I still can't beat that mfer without save states. And that's a whole gaming generation ahead of this one, where the console actually supported saves, and games didn't really have to be as hard anymore to make back their money.
Plenty of cheaper options. The Kishi is great for smaller phones and X2 is almost as nice and even cheaper. They’re perfect for emulators but suck for shooters.
I got mine on sale for about half that. The thing I really like about it is it plugs into the lightning port so it’s got a smaller delay in reaction. It feels good to use and reminds me of a much smaller switch/steam deck. I also have other controllers but this one is almost always in my backpack when I travel.

Since I am side loading Apollo still, Reddit overall is still good. I currently don’t see much change because of this. However, when my RedditAPI key is revoked and I’m unable to generate a new API key, there is no way I can keep using it. I’ve got 5 different Reddit apps on my phone, including Apollo, and they all suck.
Dude just ditch Reddit. They’re getting users to pay people to shitpost and are taking a cut, they also removed the ability to opt out of tracking for ads. All in like 3 days!
