Nah Lemmy is definitely worse than the majority of social media platforms rn. There’s blatant posts of the exact same thing in the exact same communities by different users hours apart with hundreds of upvotes each so I literally can’t go 3 posts in the All feed without seeing his stupid face and it’s gotten to the point where I’m just downvoting people for low effort. I don’t fucking care about some guys mug shot to need to be informed a hundred times, if you’re gonna make jokes at least put effort into it

He’s not going to prison for lying about there being voter fraud, that’s not a crime. It’s just normal political dishonesty. What he’s going to prison for (in Georgia) is corruptly demanding that the Georgia state government “find him” votes and committing assorted crimes related to his attempts to fix the election.
What instances are you people browsing on??? In both lemm.ee and lemmy.world I see one or two posts about Trump and then nothing for like 3 pages… I see one meme with his mugshot and one news article on lemmy.world, and lemm.ee has the same meme and the politics megathread. I have to scroll pretty deep after that to see anything else even mentioning him.
On one hand, yeah I wish I wouldn’t have to hear about that piece of garbage ever again, but the mugshot is an exception because this little bit of justice feels like getting a nice bottle of cold water after being lost in a desert for years.
As others have said. It’s injection molding with screen printing. Those two techniques are not suited for one off parts. Machining the mold for injection molding can cost thousands of dollars, especially for a gloss finish like this. The screen printing also requires to create a custom silk screen for this.
What are you trying to achieve? A new plastic cover with a different shape? Or same shape and different design on it?
Well first of all, I’m just really curious. I always had a thing for learning how things are made and if I could remake them at home. Second, I guess I’d like to go with my own design, while staying in the bounds of the same style. Third, I’m still looking for what I am good at.
That awesome! The best way to approach this in a DIY manner would be 3D printing. Easy 3D printing would be FDM printers, but better quality would be with Resin printer (in the home DIY scope).
