It does depend on state law. Iirc in California only private clubs can discriminate on gender.

But discrimination based on race (or faith, or a few other things) is prohibited nationwide at the federal level.

Corporations all raised prices at the same time. No competition to offset the greed. Normally that level of coordination is impossible among different companies, at least some would keep prices lower to retain customers.

For a relatively tame one, just yesterday there was this idea making the rounds that Cohen saw jail time for the “exact same crime” that Trump did, so we could expect jail time for Trump. This despite the fact that they actually did totally different crimes.

In my experience so far, lemmings are the dumbest and most naive userbase of any social media I’ve ever been on. But then I left Facebook back in like '07 so I didn’t see the worst of it

By district, which is all the voters in a smaller geographic area. House Reps are up for re election every 2 years. The intent of the House is to give more representatives to states with higher populations, so for example New York has 26 representatives while Kansas only has 4.

However, instead of purely representing population, the number of House reps has been capped at 435, which weighs heavily in favor of less populated (Republican) states. If that cap was removed, Democrats would have a permanent lock on the House.
