Sadly, you give us too far much credit. “I’m sorry” not only expresses empathy, but can be construed by rich lawyers as an admission of guilt that can allow legal proceedings to move forward, to do things like garnish your wages until you can prove your innocence, or rather die trying - hence the companies will not even say that much. :-(
Likewise, that is a lot of yellow in the background there, and ink is expensive so… :-(

I use connect too but I think you misunderstood me. It’s only inferior because of the size of the community, but as I said that also makes it better. It’s like Reddit a whole bunch of years ago.
Browse All, Hot. Or New or Active. Like 50% of my feed is memes. Then you can join those communities manually to ensure you always see them and when you have enough communities you can switch to Subscribed to see only those communities.
Memes are a dime a dozen; we need more gay porn. I can sneeze and hit 50 chicks and ‘AI art’ from /all, but it’s barren over here in dickland, even after finding a few communities. Furry gay porn too, gimme that soft, fuzzy, drippy, desperate bois… huff.
So uh, I’ve been a fur for (oh lord have mercy) two decades now. E6 is great, and FA is adding tag management to (theoretically) have a blacklist etc too. But at E6, unless it’s piping hot content, I’ve seen it, saved it. And on FA, I follow checks 470 artists or characters, and while that’s still expanding, again I feel like I’ve seen all of the kinks I’m after, and even diving into other stuff just to see. Hell, I’m still on SL for that personal touch, since my mind can only do so much.
Reddit still has a decent amount of gay stuff (or gay adjacent - /foreskin <3) but the furry porn largely died out with the protests, and is now scattered to the wind. I’ve got some on Twitter, some on bluesky, some on discord, some just closed up shop.
Interesting. I didn’t realize Second Life had the ability to do furry avatars. Neat. Never realized reddit had new stuff that didn’t make it to e6 or FA or other places.
Oh they have had them since inception, basically. SL was the place to be up until the VR craze if you wanted to “be” furry.
Most stuff new to me (not E6 or FA) comes through Twitter or Telegram. There a ton of furs on the bird, but I don’t really know how to use Twitter so I just bumble around and get links to stuff from other sources.
around here, people use "alternate" vehicles, like atv, snowmobiles, lawn mowers and tractors, etc. to get to the bars because they lost their license. have not seen a forklift parked outside of one, though----yet.
some of their cars and trucks may still be wrapped-around a tree or in a ditch, or were impounded. and you can get ticketed for driving them without a license, but you can't get a ticket for cruising down the road on a lawn tractor without one (afaik, you could still get a dui though).
This. A lot of kids drove golf carts to the pool and stuff, but while that would be semi-legal in their gated community, they had to cross a public road where even licensed drivers would be breaking the law. No one seemed to care though. I’m fairly certain it’s illegal in most US states.
In my experience I’ve noticed Linux tends to (disproportionately) attract both libertarians and socialists/communists. I feel like I run into more of both within the Linux community than I do in other communities.
I started using Linux because I couldn’t force myself to use Windows 8. Up to that point I used whatever version of Windows came right before the graphical interface but 8 was too awful so I started playing with mint and never went back…
I got off the capitalism train in the middle of that but that was only because I decided to major in business and when I saw how the sausage was made I jumped ship but I didn’t know anything about socialism or communism or marxism or whatever you want to call it. I was so not into politics or economics that I literally had to search the Internet and ask people on social media what was an alternative to the crap I was reading for my classes… And then I went down that rabbit hole. If was enlightening. I learned a lot.
Also… for people who think college is Marxist indoctrination…Marx was brought up for one paragraph in one book at the very very end of my 4 years. But by that point I already knew who he was just from the rabbit hole I went down when I was curious for some alternative to what I was being taught.
The problem with these rage inducing subreddits is that they seldom seem to propose or encourage any solution or alternative. So it ends up becoming a kind of circle jerk of learned helplessness.
It seems like a common internet thing. Rage bait and learned helplessness. We learn to accept that there’s nothing to do because people and politicians are idiots because “look at all this stuff”.
And often this aligns with advertising tech because it makes us engaged and seeking comfort of continued scrolling when we get a steady stream of anxiety injections. It’s low key like an abusive relationship.
Respectfully, I don’t think one can just suggest a solution to what is fundamentally problem of decades of economic propaganda and miseducation. The number of morons that believe in Adam Smith and market self-corrections like they are forces as natural as the tide is truly staggering insane, ansld is a direct result of generations of neoliberalism seeping into education.
There’s no easy solution. There’s hardly a hard solution at this point. The solution is to make memes, and to yell, and to make the issue so readily apparent it can be unavoidable and understood by these very same people let down by their education. So subreddits memeing is good, overall.
