The wind howls through the empty parking lot as the dim streetlights flicker above interrupted by the faint screech of an unreturned cart, left abandoned in the cold silence, rolling aimlessly across the asphalt. A masked man steps out of the shadows…
“You think it’s nothing. A small act of carelessness, a moment of laziness. But that cart, left adrift, has a price. A price in scraped cars, twisted ankles, in the chaos that spreads like rot in the hearts of men. You see, I don’t care about your excuses. I don’t care if it’s raining, if you’re in a hurry. Order is what keeps us human. And you… you spit on it with every cart left behind.”
Knuckles crack in the darkness
“I’m the reckoning you never see coming. You think no one’s watching when you shove it into the next spot, but I’m always watching. Every cart out of place, every rule ignored, it leads to something darker, something worse. And that’s where I come in—to stop the small sins before they become something more.”
The masked man takes a step forward, his voice low and gravelly.
“I am Cart Noir, the last line of defense between order and chaos. You think it’s just a cart? It’s never just a cart.”
In Germany, shopping carts typically have a deposit system, where you have to insert an Euro into the cart to use it, which you get back when you return it. So that is basically a build in fine for not returning it.
In Spain we used to have the same system. However it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, most carts still have the euro slot, but they are not chained, so you don’t need to insert a coin.
In Germany (and other parts.od Europe as well to be fair) carts need you to put a coin in them to unchain them from their bay, which you get back when you chain them back up - so yeah, kinda, if you don’t put it back you loose your euro
$15-20 for 2.5lbs @ Costco of whatever looks good. They usually have some local stuff mixed in w the Kirkland stuff. I’m a aingle person using either percolator or cold brew so that bag will last me 1.5-2 months. ☕️🍩
Second impression of Garuda (Arch based). My first impression was the dragonized version, which is KDE with lots of mods to make it Mac like, but with extra window animations.
I like things simple, so when I tried Garuda again, I installed the Gnome version. Other than some weirdness getting my Nvidia card working with Wayland, it has run better than anything else on my laptop.
I buy 20 lb bags of green for 80-120 once a year or so, roast a batch once a week or so in a modified popcorn maker, and make espresso, pour over, or french press depending on how it turns out.
I probably don’t save any money when you calculate power, and even if I did, it would take a decade to pay for the grinder/espresso machine.
Proton is Wine with prefixes, basically, you can use it without Steam on Lutris for example (Wine-GE suggested); also, emulation for old games isn’t so demanding, try different cores for RetroArch.
Can you elaborate? Do you mean that it includes prefixes with it?
emulation for old games isn’t so demanding
By old, I meant 2010 to 2015, which is where my laptop reaches it’s limits. I’ve tried ps3 emulation and it couldn’t pull that off, and there is no emulator for 360 on linux(that I know of).
If you want to learn more in depth about how Proton works I suggest you to ask here on [GloriousEggroll’s Discord](discord.gg/6y3BdzC.
For emulation, X360 and PS3 needs intense resources and their emulators may be in an early development state; look back to the previous generations, maybe with a cool megabezel shader on RA.
Your time in this world is one of your most valuable assets. If a game is incredibly boring to you, you should put it down and play something else that you enjoy.
The same goes for pretty much everything in life, not just games. It might suck in the short term, but just don’t put up with friends/partners/jobs you don’t like. Make a change
I saw a meme that was the trolly problem where voters could let the train continue and hit LGBT, racial minorites, [bunch of other stuff here], and Palestine (alluding to trump). or they could pull the lever and only hit Palestine and leave the other people alive (alluding to at the time Biden).
The bottom pannel was the voter saying “I refuse to participate in a broken system” as all the minorities got ran over by the train.
