Carrolade , to nostupidquestions in Why doesn't Mongolia simply arrest Putin?

There are a lot of economic ties between Mongolia and Russia. You don’t get a lot of options when you’re landlocked and sandwiched between two large powers. So, Putin has a fair amount of leverage there, more than in most places.

Sounds like that reduces to hertz, which I’m sure they’ll just express in seconds.

They like to set the speed of light to be 1. That is dimensionless 1. It makes their calculations simpler this way instead of dragging some power of c everywhere like a loosely connected trailer on a dirt road.

When i took a particle physics class we measured everything in energy (eV). In this case of measuring everything in seconds, acceration would be measured in units of 1/s

I think this is a script/bot

TexMexBazooka OP ,

It’s probably a script. Unless you’re saying I’m a bot, in which case beep boop hello fellow human

YourPrivatHater ,

Nah i mean this type of ban behavior. Ive seen that on other instances as well (absolutely ew) and i think that this action is performed by a bot or user script, is the first ban from the same person? Then it’s a script, if not, its a bot that gets triggered by a instance ban.

TexMexBazooka OP ,

Dessalines definitely isn’t a bot, he’s one of the main Lemmy devs

YourPrivatHater ,

You can still have a bot running over the same account.

TexMexBazooka OP ,

It not a script. It’s how lemmy handles instance bans

YourPrivatHater ,

I’ve only seen that on a few instances now, and all of them are pretty close to what .ml is… Was that in a recent update or what exactly? Cause its not actually how lemmy handles bans, at least it wasn’t until recently.

DaddleDew , to science_memes in Deficiencies

NGL, I’ve spent a decade wondering why I couldn’t sleep at night and couldn’t concentrate all day, only to finally realize I was constantly low on electrolytes because of my intense exercise routine.

And if anyone is wondering, sports drinks are worthless sugary drinks shrouded in “sporty” marketing. Vitamin D, Calcium and Magnesium is what helped me (and are far more cost efficient than sports drinks). Consult a doctor.

Wogi ,

There are low sugar sports drinks. Most of the electrolytes they’re advertising is just salt. Your body needs salt to function. You lose salt when you sweat.

My doctor told me I come literally just put some table salt in water and it would do just as well as any sports drink, sugar or no.

I work in a physical environment and they hand out electrolyte packets and Gatorade like candy when it gets hot.

MutilationWave ,

I love the electrolit cucumber lime. Not so much sugar. Water is still my main drink though.

captainlezbian , to asklemmy in Why do human beings feel the constant need to be validated for their actions/opinions/interests/etc.?

Because we’re a social species that often checks ourselves off of those around us. Sometimes it’s unhealthy, but often it’s an attempt to maintain tribe status and to safeguard against misperception.
