Quite optimistic view. Do you think they will be so nice and give you a completely unobstructed working area? I am pretty sure that contradicts every sane ad strategy. Where is the “Watch one minute of ads before we can start your application” window in the center? Where are the 5 identical buttons of which only one will get you to file explorer, the other ones lead to File Explorer Plus only for 5,99$ per week?
People who can build up advanced logic systems can make or adapt their own Unix-like operating system on any computer. It happened before and it’ll happen again, even if the computer uses confusing Orb stuff instead of modern bits and bytes.
I used to live in a big city and was bicycling or bussing a lot. When my apartment lease ran out, I was able to find a place where I could walk most of the time. That was great for several years. Of course it depended on the specific location.
Another thing is owning less. If you own things that you don’t use at least once a year, maybe get rid of them. It’s easier to clean, to move, to organize, to find things. Of course this also depends on preference. Regardless, owning things has its own mental and financial costs, so find an amount that is good for you.
Getting rid of a TV made my life better. Similarly, getting rid of a microwave. But the latter depends on your cooking habits. For example, my work has a microwave, so I heat food up there regularly, and at home I cook things.

Not only does it move, but it gets covered by an ad and it has to track your eyeballs on that tile for 5 seconds before it reveals the desktop. That way, you spend a minute watching ads looking for the real desktop.
You definitely want to look at the economics and see if there’s some way to do a mini split. It will save you a lot on electric, and depending on the climate you’re in, it could pay for itself by February.
To echo much already said… As a dude that had magnificent curly locks. I wtarted balding at 18 and now have a hairline of an 18th century monk… If you can shave your head do that. I also have eczema…so that’s out. So hats and just being cool with it. If you try to hide it … people know. Just own that shit. Frankly ladies don’t seem to mind it… Personality goes a long way. Humor goes further
This is the main reason I quit. The majority of my reddit traffic for about 10 years was through a 3rd party app. Reddit taking that away was basically a big “fuck you” to all the devs that worked tirelessly to give reddit that mobile traffic. These apps were free and relied on donations or premium purchases.
That decreased my usage by 90%, but ultimately that’s not the reason i stopped using it. It’s just a shitshow with a lot of really angry people. You can rarely have a proper conversation in your communities
