Agreed. Also Game of the year editions for games that have one award from some obscure website in lickmydikistan. Though I appreciate the Game of the year complete editions that really contain all DLC, years after release. Actually feels like I am getting the whole game.
I sent a letter at 2pm from Belfast and it arrived in Durham the following morning first class numerous times, seems fair enough to me. Sounds like you just have a bad postie vs royal mail itself
A lot of the value isn’t technical, it’s social. Each instance can set their own rules for acceptable conduct and what sort of content they want or don’t want. That’s one of the most valuable parts of decentralization, an instance like Beehaw can try to be an open and inclusive space and thus have a longer list of rules, while another instance can be more permissive and allow NSFW and more offensive speech. And thus the two can coexist in the same network with the same namespace.
Well comes down to your personal preference and that can take some time to develop.
If you want opinions on devices from other users then that’s what we are here for.
I’ve used many different devices as I use to get to play with plenty of phones and a tablets some I have purchased as well
If you want the same feeling of ecosystem then Samsung devices are the leader for Android with Google coming second. This is when you are comparing with the Apple Ecosystem.
Well here are my few thoughts on Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel.
Camera: Google Pixel for Still Photos is one of the best on the market Everything else Samsung Galaxy. I find that Samsung over processes the photos to make it look great on their devices. Take the same photo outside of Samsung and it will look different.
Battery Life: Samsung Devices with the slight edge if you get the S23 Ultra then that will be better for battery life. However, both brands for me will last the day easily which is what I ask for in all my devices.
Features (including exclusive features): If you want to screen your calls then it’s Google Pixel it has made SPAM calls become less and less over time.
Using HDMI to TV or Monitor (for me) Samsung Galaxy takes it for this one. Pixel doesn’t support HDMI output if you’re using a USB-C to HDMI. You have to use a DisplayLink Dock in order to have this the amount of times I’ve gone to a Hotel and just want to plug into a HDMI port instead of using Chromecast over the Hotel WiFI connection for privacy reasons makes me sad on a pixel. This is why I still have a Samsung Galaxy Tab in my travel kit.
There are plenty more but the post will be super long… and if you’re read this far then you are more patient then others. Hope this helps
The question was already answered by others. As a nitpicky side note: Developers have nothing to do with server popularity. They just develop the software on GitHub. This software is then run on all lemmy instances, by admins. Admins can influence instance size, by opening/closing it for registration, through policy and communication. Further down in the hierarchy, the regular users can advertise for their instance.
When interest rates are low the difference between a dollar now and a dollar later (discount factor) is negligible. In this environment the math favours businesses that can grow revenue really fast.
Now that rates have risen, the discount factor has become more expensive and so firms want their dollars today. A lot of companies need to come up with a path to profitability quickly to shore up their stock prices and have a sustainable business.
