I’m not sure if this is just me, but it drives me nuts when I see someone answer a question (for example in the questions section on an amazon product page) to just say that they don’t know or they give an unrelated answer....
I know there is runescape and albion but is there anything else, or are those the only small file sized ones for pc?...

What games are you playing, Lemmy? Board, video, or mobile - what have you been doing and should we play it too?
I miss those so much. Any modern games still playing with this concept? I remember Half Life had the bathroom, kitchen, and office, and I remember a backyard one in Quake 3 that was really cool.
Why am I signed out every time I open this? Why can I hardly post anything anywhere? It’s like a dice roll.
has something like this already been posted? I tried searching, and I’m sure I don’t have original thoughts.
Stuff that, back when you were in the economic clutches of your parents, you could but dream of having....
In a post regarding climate change I called another user an “Ignorant Slut” like that line from the Office. Anyways got permanently banned site wide and I just can’t help but wonder if that was necessary....
I use an iPhone and my fiancé uses Android. He is not very tech savvy. He does not like to text for privacy reasons. I was going to recommend we get Signal but see others in Lemmy talking about Matrix. Is that better? If so, what app is best that works on both our phones? Thanks Lemmy friends!
I have always liked open world games as a concept, but I have a very bad sense of direction. So whenever I play open world games I keep getting lost and frustrated. Eventually getting bored and dropping the game. I am curious how other people with bad sense of direction cope with this problem.
I joined Lemmy a few days ago under the lemmy.world instance and want to keep it as my main instance, but it’s being pretty laggy....
Is it worthwhile to try to get mods to combine them? It just seems like a bit of a waste when trying to grow a community and its split in two....
Can anyone help me understand how close the performance and battery life is between the three phones? I’m in the USA so the chip will be Qualcomm between the Samsung models....
If you create a community, please try and populate it with content. I see a lot of new communities with 0-1 posts from the mod. That’s not nearly enough to get people engaged - users are going to see that it’s a ghost town and leave....
Is there any benefit to host my own instance?
I run a few groups, like @fediversenews, mostly on Friendica. It's okay, but Friendica resembles Facebook Groups more than Reddit. I also like the moderation options that Lemmy has....
Correct me if I’m wrong. I read ActivityPub standards and dug a little into lemmy sources to understand how federation works. And I’m a bit disappointed. Every server just has a cache and the ability to fetch something from another known server. So if you start your own instance, there is no profit for the whole network...

As far as I can tell, different faces, but same old, same old… I mean, literally anyone is better than Biden at the job, considering age…...
Sure to annoy IT people but those just need a line of text while the rest of the screen is free real estate for Micro$oft! Public BSODs tend to go viral too.
I spend a lot of time fixing things, for myself and others. (Computers, electrical, plumbing, etc). While I learn a lot, I wonder sometimes if it would be better to pay a professional and do something else for which I am more ‘valuable’. Do you do the same, and do you find it worthwhile?
I’m looking to download a number of educational youtube videos for future reference. Looking for a reliable way to download videos. OS is Ubuntu. FF extensions and docker containers all good. I don’t really want to install an executable on bare metal unless it is a flatpak....
