I’ve been thinking about making this thread for a few days. Sometimes, I play a game and it has some very basic features that are just not in every other game and I think to myself: Why is this not standard?! and I wanted to know what were yours....

Currently lemmy is like the speedboat next to the heavy steam boat of Mastodon etc. While lemmy is still dynamic and flexible and can introduce new features easily without scaring off its established user base, mastodon can not do such experiments so easily. I’ve learned about them in school, but I’ve never heard anyone say something is 8 decameters long or anything like that. I’m an American.

When I mean “specific,” I mean things like something dedicated to a certain genre, a certain video game, to gaming suggestions, to asking whether you should buy a certain game… anything that isn’t just one catch-all for any video gaming topic. So I’m not including the various !games@instance or !gaming@instance links....

Specifically in the USA, but feel free to share your status quo. We live in the internet age, doesn’t that cut overhead with filing and make things cheaper?

I was trying to give pointers to people in comments but it seems whenever I wrote uBlock Origin, “u B lock”, SponsorBlock or “S p onSor Block” (without quotes) the comment would vanish within first minute....

I always get dry boogers and they’re impossible to remove when blowing into a tissue.

Probably a boring answer but I know my grandmother’s credit card information. I live with and help take care of her, so she doesn’t mind sharing it with me. Not like I’m planning to do anything nefarious, but I guess technically it could ruin her financially.
