I’m hosting my own Lemmy instance and so far everything has been pretty smooth. However I’m noticing some issues with specific instances, communities, or comments not showing up through my own instance....

Just saw a post on reddit alternatives and there was a comment inviting users to laguna.chat. I went and checked it out and the trending communities list included, ‘jews did 911’, ‘killnirs’, ‘hitler was right’, and 'Fuck Nirs’. One of the user accounts was u/HangNi***rs....

Why YSK: It appears several Lemmy Instances are flagged as suspicious and at least 1 instance intentionally using the name of ransomware. A couple of the big enterprise monitoring suites (Fortiguard, ZScaler) will flag your account and may end up with you being pulled into an office for an explanation, or worse....

I mean, I like Firefox, but I’d love to see Vivaldi based on Firefox/Gecko. There’s Floorp, which is similar in some ways but it’s more like an Edge built on Firefox than Vivaldi....

I upgraded from Debian Bookworm (Stable), which has kernel 6.1, to Debian Trixie (Testing), which has kernel 6.4. Until then, I couldn’t overclock my GPU’s VRAM beyond 1750 MHz. With kernel 6.4, I can overclock it as far as AMD will allow - 1860 MHz. If my 5600 XT hadn’t been locked down by AMD, I’d be able to go further...

I made a git hub issue, but I want to ask here as well in hope of finding success...
