If you’re able to you should try working out. It increases your appetite. I went from ~18 bmi to ~23 after I started weight lifting and look a lot healthier now. It also took care of a lot of the random aches and pains I had.

I used to use that as well until I got good enough at tracking to just do it in my head. It was a decent app just annoying that it didn’t really seem to have any moderation on people submitting foods and a lot were way off and sometimes 6 or 7 of the exact same thing. Still the best app for it I found.

I found having to actually go to the gym was a huge hurdle for me so I bought a 200lb set of adjustable dumbbells and a foldable weight bench for at home. It’s nice because if I get lost in something and forget to work out until later I can still do something on the spot. If I had room I’d buy a full weight set but I’d need a house for that. If you don’t want to spend money or don’t have space there’s also a lot of bodyweight stuff you can do at home.

Nah, if I’m wrong I’ll have to talk to a cop for no reason. If one of my neighbors turns up shot or missing the next day I’ll mention it sure but if nothing comes of it no way. I don’t want to be on their radar at all if possible. If someone was shot the damage is done me calling won’t help them.

My last job it was really difficult to use PTO because we were always kept short staffed and there were only like 2 or 3 PTO “slots” a day and less on weekends. During the summer if you didn’t get your request in months ahead it was practically impossible and forget about getting a whole week. One of many reasons I left was dealing with that shit.

How do you keep the bun from disintegrating before you’re done when they’re very thick? My parents and a lot of burger restaurants make them that way and I hate it because of that. It turns into a mess. I make mine like 1/4 lb and that seems to be the sweet spot for me.

I agree with you that it’s shitty. The reason I go there is because the one near my house is the easiest place to get in and out of on the way to the highway when I’m going to my friends after work and need to grab something for dinner. 2 Mcdoubles is pretty cheap and have decent amount of protein. $6ish for dinner I can eat in the car.

That helps the patty. I’m talking about the bun. With thick burgers the juice gets into it and by the time you’re halfway through the thing has completely fallen apart. It’s even worse if you have any kind of sauce on the burger.

I’m not a health expert. No one should take diet advice from me. There’s plenty of credible information available if they bothered to look. I didn’t say it solves everything. It’s the first step. After acquiring the information the next step is to exercise a modicum of self-restraint and make healthier choices. I blame the individuals because everyone is responsible for their own choices. Blaming advertising is just laziness.

I went there for hand soap last week end and they didn’t even have a brand I recognized just generic bottles that said “hand soap” and “hand wash”. I couldn’t figure out what the difference was so I got the hand soap one. At least it was claiming to be soap instead of using marketing weasel words.

It is that simple. I pretty much just focus on protein (for gains) and total calories and I’m in great shape. I do avoid sugary things (because it’s empty calories) but never had to care about oils or starches. If all you care about is not being fat you can just focus on calories.

I buy lumber every couple of weekends. Sometimes used furniture. Can’t do that in my Civic. So I have to borrow my dad’s truck. I’d love to get a light pickup like the S-10 or Ranger used to be (and electric if it was available) but there’s nothing like that available these days because of American bullshit.

Yea, that’s a big part of why I haven’t got one. For my daily commute my car is fine and very economical. If they still made small trucks a single cab with a full size bed would be perfect for me but that’s apparently not in line with what the rest of the country wants. If my dad sells his though I might have to bite the bullet.
