In my view that isn’t favorable. It is perhaps real, but it still doesn’t sit well as we know where it likely leads.

YSK: Using dairy milk after being tear gassed or pepper sprayed doesn't provide more relief and has slightly increased infection risk. Use water or saline instead

Generally medical professionals do not vouch for using milk for tear gas despite it often being touted. The research seems to suggest they are largely the same in providing relief...

It could be photoshopped or generated. Image search points to these types of ancient alien nutters with the exact image. Other image search hits that aren’t the exact location go to Kanheri Caves in Mumbai, Ellora Caves, Ajanta Caves, Aurangabad Caves, etc. None of those places seem to have photos or locations that look like that. Anyways, a lack of skeptisicm will make fools follow charlatans.

Why not serve fried chicken on Juneteenth? How is it different from serving corned beef on St. Patrick’s day? (old.lemmy.world)

Disclaimer: I am not trolling, I am an autistic person who doesn’t understand so many social nuances. Also I am from New Hampshire (97% white), so I just don’t have any close African-American friends that I am willing to risk asking such a loaded question.

An interesting aside that you probably know: corned beef and cabbage is a distinctly Irish-American tradition. The Irish were economically forced to raise cattle for corned beef for British folks. Despite raising and curing the beef, they could not afford it and subsisted on potatoes. Britain’s wealth and insatiable appetite for corned beef was so immense that those who made it could not afford the price. On the other hand, the reliance on potatoes for subsistence during this period as well as its outcome is well known.

apfelwoiSchoppen ,
@apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world avatar

The whole reason the Irish subsisted on potatoes was that the corned beef they were wage slave raising and producing was to be eaten only by English and French folks that could afford the extravagant costs. Another type of corned beef was here already in the US. It was the Jewish kosher corned beef that became synonymous with Irish American culture.

Hasn’t changed US foreign policy for decades, so yeah probably not. From arming to giving Israel protection in the UN, the US is all in on Palestinian genocide. The US does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC because the court could be used for “political reasons”. This goes back to the creation of the ICC, which the Clinton admin helped to form but then vote against. Israel, Russia, Israel, China, Libya, and Qatar are the only countries who do not recognize the jurisdiction of the court. There is a through line on why they don’t: it is because of what they have already done and continue to do that would levy charges at the court. In fact the US has the American Service Members Protection Act to make cooperation with the court next to impossible.

TL:DR; the US has been complicit in Palestinian genocide since Eisenhower.

Put solar panels in parking lots and on buildings, where the humans live, not in fragile ecosystems. Deserts aren’t bereft of life, they are filled with some of the most resilient and charismatic flora and fauna known. Joshua trees and the Mojave have it bad enough already.

@apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world avatar

And even in places where it is happening, it is still extremely rare for a parking lot to have solar panels. Legislation is needed.
