I think that doing some soul searching and determining if the friendship you have with the person is something you can continue healthily is a big thing a lot of people don’t do. I used it for years and loved it but after a while the reinstall for every upgrade sucked and I ditched it and went to GNOME Fedora. I mean honestly Debian with GNOME is probably good enough but if you really wanted to you could install the pantheon desktop environment
