My favorite game franchise is Monster Hunter but I currently have played enough of every game in the franchise to be burnt out and am looking for something new. What I like about MH is the action combat system, the small group multiplayer and although most MH games don't have it, I'd like a game similar to this that also...
So I’m reassessing my entertainment center since seeing the Video Game History Foundation’s report. Since the study it’s got me thinking, if you could pick any 4 consoles to have hooked up to your TV (4 becuase I’ve got 4 inputs to my TV) which would you pick and why? I will accept modded consoles as answers too.
Since my vita can’t emulate ds games properly and I want to get my hands on different handhelds, I want to buy me a second hand model. Would you recommend the form factor of 2ds for bigger hands or are 2ds and 3ds clamshells are no sweat?
Having grown up on livejournal, tumblr really was the closest in experience and culture to how it was then. reddit text posts were actually closest appearance to a livejournal post for quite a while but by the time that was added everyone were comfortable on tumblr, and following users in reddit were added even later....
I’m specifically looking for something that can both add text and works well with a stylus + tablet (specifically a surface pro). The best I’ve been able to find is Okular, but it’s been very finicky for me, especially while editing text. Is there anything better, or does what I’m looking for just not exist yet?
So can we talk mugs? I tend to make a half liter (~17 oz) of coffee in a French Press in the morning. I run into the problem that I get about a half hour to 45 minutes (I’ve never timed it this number might be wildly off) in before the, “Crap! Its getting cold!” moment and feel like I have to accelerate my consumption to...
How to move forum from telegram to Lemmy, of course if possible (al least all info dialogue, foto etc).
I have a Nvidia TitanX in my HTPC, which is known for its high heat output, and it keeps overheating when I play 3D games. The case has two intake fans on one side and two exhaust fans on the other, but lacks ventilation on the top panel. I’m tired of the random shutdowns during game play and was wondering if anyone had any...
I like Apple’s feature to unlock a Mac-laptop automatically when the user is wearing their Apple Watch....
I’ve been gaming on Kubuntu for over 2 years now but recently have been getting interested in Garuda. I’ve booted into the live Dragonized Gaming iso and was really impressed with the out of the box gaming-centric setup....
i mean that as in, being able to enter my accounts without even using my password or without installing any virus in my computer. thank you!!
Since I’m the first, I don’t have anyone so I get off this one scot-free but if someone piques my interest I may well jump in. Off you go!
I’m trying to switch my existing Docker setup to a rootless podman one. The main issue tripping me is how to mount remote volumes. My file server is a different machine, so I mount the data into docker containers via a NFS volume. However, I can’t do this with podman since the normal user doesn’t have the rights for...
Hey friends. I have been using Linux exclusively for about 3 weeks. I’ve been amazed at how well gaming works out of the box with Steam and proton....
Youtube, for so many years, was just too good. Yes, they changed the 5 star rating system to likes and dislikes and a few years later disabled dislikes altogether, but their algorithm mostly digs up interesting content and it just works for creators and viewers....
I’ve got a reoccurring issue with all of the home servers I’ve ever had and because it happened again just today, now the pain is big enough to ask publicly about it....
I’m unsure if this is a Linux specific issue but when I add or remove a hard drive steam will unlink family share which is a hassle to relink, I know it’s a niche question but does anyone know if reformatting a disk or partition will also cause an unlink? Thank you in advance.
I have steam up and running on my main daily driver ( currently endeavour OS, but I also have a dual boot to a Windows with steam also working if needed, but just about everything I’m playing lately is working great on Linux)....
Pretty much what the title says. I’m likely going to graduate after a few extra summer classes, and I’m trying to figure out how graduation will work. Is it University-specific? Or is there a general rule of thumb? I have a baby on the way and I’d like to start my career asap just to help take care of him.
I just picked up Gauntlet for nes and when I load into room 1 I’m greeted with glitched walls misplaced everywhere which let’s me walk through some. and there’s random items I can’t pick up which means I’m unable to continue in the game past room 1
