Is there drama or a story I’m missing? As I understand it, from lemmy.world I can see their posts but they cannot see mine. Why did beehaw block lemmy.world?

Context: I use Liftoff as my mobile client. I have accounts on blahaj.zone and lemmy.world. When I’m logged in on blahaj.zone on desktop, there is no downvote button. It appears on Liftoff....

With the many Reddit style shitposts appearing, I’m wondering if there’s a way for users to block certain communities or servers. Sync for Reddit made doing this easy -blocking the noise was the only reason I could use Reddit....

I have a server where I believe I have disabled root login via ssh. I think it is done correctly, as I cannot login with root myself via ssh, but I would’ve thought that it would be reflected in /var/log/auth.log. Instead, it shows up as failed password entry. Is this intended?...

I use a keyboard with an american layout because I find it much much better for programming. Some friends have websites. I encourage them to do. But they have them only to publish contact info, opening times, and a couple of photos of their business. What would be the best fediverse platform for this? Of course being able to post/toot news every now and then, is also a good feature.
