K, riffing on rain. Sorry, on a tangent, but this will work for me:
Purple Rain" by Prince “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” by Creedence Clearwater Revival “Rain” by The Beatles “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” by Bob Dylan “Here Comes the Rain Again” by Eurythmics “I Can’t Stand the Rain” by Ann Peebles “Rainy Night in Georgia” by Brook Benton “Rain King” by Counting Crows
Making gender a selling point is always a weird vibe. You remember the TLC song No Scrubs? Did you know there was a clapback response song called No Pigeons?
It was put together by some out of touch producer who thought men would rally behind it. But in reality men on the whole weren’t really angry about the TLC song, and Sporty Thievz didn’t have much star power on their own. It hit #12 on the US Billboard Hot 100, got a bunch of radio play for a minute, and then they faded into obscurity entirely.
I get where you’re coming from, but making the slightest effort towards aesthetics when designing the apartment blocks doesn’t cost much comparatively. I think brutalist architecture has its place too, but I could definitely see how coming home to apartment #5722 on floor #12 of block 31 in a trite and looming concrete labyrinth isnt very appealing to a lot of people. Making homely and livable apartments costs only slightly more and would do wonders in getting people to accept them.
I’m not a fan of #12, as civil servants should be paid differently depending on factors other than simply whether or not they have a family. Also not a fan of #16 since it sounds to me like forced labour for the poor, but maybe I don’t understand what a “national workshop” is.
Otherwise I agree with at least the sentiment of all of these if not the way they’re worded. Obviously it could use a lot of updating for the modern era, but the basic premise is mostly fine.
Book Review #12 for 2024: Stephen M. Younger's Silver State Dreadnought: The Remarkable Story of Battleship Nevada
The telling of those chaotic moments at Pearl Harbor from the perspective of the Nevada is a telling of courage and commitment. A must read for the military historian.
I’m still pretty green so I’m not sure what terminated means in this context.
My domain registrar for my “pretty” domain (not FreeDNS) allowed me to issue a Let’s Encrypt on it. It gave me the encrypted Cert code, Private Key code, and Immediate Cert code. I was able to bring them down into .crt and .key files respectively and assign them to my NAS. Jellyfin though required a PKCS #12 file so I installed openssl CLI via Choco and fed it my .crt and .key files to generate the necessary pfx file. So, right now all the cert information is tied to my “pretty” domain via my domain register. I would assume that my register and Let’s Encrypt has my private key info, but also my key files uploaded to the NAS and rolled into the PFK file.
Not sure if that helps or answers your question but that’s the info I got.
So many hours at that screen. I actually used to be really good… ranked I think #12 overall. Beat the #1 dude Grrrr… or whatever that French guy’s battle tag was

The next seven countries combined (the next eleven, in fact) are all in green in the above map. #12 is Canada, and every other country is either supporting this resolution or abstaining. The US could well win a third world war but it wouldn’t happen the way you say. Nukes won’t be used in conflicts by nation-states, only (and hopefully not) by rogue groups that get their hands on one. Nukes are a deterrent nowadays rather than a weapon.
Dating show called if you are the one. I got hooked on this for a while it’s pretty fun and insane to watch.
There’s like 20women. They watch a short bio film of a bachelor. Lot of the times it’s so cringe its cute. They come out the panel of women fire some questions. They all vote yay or nay. If more yays than nay you stay. And you get to ask a few questions to the panel.
Then there’s this on the spot tinder system where the guy has to pick who he likes. Through this process the women who likes the man needs to match with the man who swiped right on the women. Then if they match they get a date. It doesn’t happen often. And you get these love triangle that occur cos the man likes #6 but #6 didn’t like him. But #12 likes the man but he didn’t pick her. It’s great.
It’s pretty crazy and fun. I recommend catching an an ep from an early season on YouTube.
Jobs is just a thing people talked about but was never the actual issue. The issue has always been fear of change. Depending on the list you look at right now, Peso Pluma is between the #1 and #12 artist right now in music. There are areas of the country where knowing Spanish has become a near necessity to own a business.
Depending on how racist they are, it might be some #WhiteGenocide nonsense, or it might be that they have some honestly kind of legitimate concerns about changing culture, or they just don’t like seeing all the brown people around. It seems to vary a lot from person to person.
I’m not saying they’re right and I’m certainly not endorsing that way of thinking. I just think it’s important to understand the real reasons they’re all freaking out. It was never really jobs and always plain xenophobia.
