@jeremycshipp signal boost incoming for Bedfellow by Jeremy C. Shipp on sale for 1.99 USD on Amazon :ablobwavreverse: @bookstodon is one of the "groups" that will boost your posts to all members following it. I'm going to gift it to a family member who loves horror as soon as I can get to a desktop browser. Congratulations 🎉 on your success!! 🙌🏾 The plot is reminiscent of a #bock or #bacoo from Caribbean folklore! https://raquelbahadoorsingh.wordpress.com/bacoo/ This looks like it's going to be an AMAZING 🤩 read! I'm going to be terrified, but I'm going to get a copy for myself too! I love expanding my horizons when reading even though I'm a scaredy cat. (insert scared Kermit gif here 🤣). #books#bookstodon#horror#HorrorCommunity#Novel

During the #Balkan Wars in 1912 and 1913, military hospitals for wounded soldiers were opened in all bigger towns in #Serbia. Most hospitals were in #Belgrade where several thousand wounded soldiers were treated. The number of hospitals in Belgrade increased during the Second Balkan War with the Bulgarians (June-July 1913), even thirty-six in total; two permanent and thirty-four emergency hospitals.
The last XXXIV emergency hospital was located in a onetime tavern Smutnikovac at the Topcider hill. The owner of the private hospital was the industrialist, banker and philanthropist Djordje Vajfert and it was run by his nephew, the lawyer and industrialist Ferdinand Gramberg.
The producer Djordje Djoka Bogdanovic shot the everyday moments in this hospital as well as the “#cinematographic“ stroll of the wounded soldiers, doctors and the hospital staff.

I should add, for completeness sakes, I am not without my own periods of assholery.
I do constantly strive to avoid it.. but occasionally, it rears its ugly head(s).
However, I go on record to say I've never been a major asshole.. just a minor garden variety asshole.. espousing my strongly held opinons over trivial matters blown out of all proportion :) hehe
Question for the #ActuallyAutistic crowd, especially those who also have #ADHD (boosts welcome):
I've seen people with autism share their experiences here and found much of it oddly familiar. Much is explainable by my existing ADHD diagnosis, but some less so (e.g.: some sensory stuff). My doctor doesn't think so because I "can make eye contact". Is it worth seeking a second (professional) opinion? 1/2
Most of the things that can't be explained by ADHD don't impact my life too severely, but I wonder if there are options that help with autism that might be more beneficial than just treating the ADHD alone. 2/2
I’ve never been thrilled with Lwaxana episodes. It’s not Majel. She does fine with what she is given. I just wish the writers hadn’t gone back to the well so often with Troi’s mom looking for a husband. #startrek#allstartrek#ds9
@mimarek1 Agreed, although the scenes in the turbolift were well-done, going from flirting to deeper stuff as Odo progressively lets his guard (and shape) down. @allstartrek#AllStarTrek
@socprof@allstartrek Yes - chapter development for Odo and a bit for Lwaxana. The later Lwaxana episodes are usually better in this way than the earlier ones. She has vulnerabilities that she struggles to hide.
