I’m just going to say it. They can’t put Harris up. Not because she’s lacking in any political skills, she isn’t, but there are far too many swing voters that will sit on their hands or vote for trump if the Dems try to put up a woman who also happens to be African American as the nominee. There’s still too much prejudice and misogyny that wants an old white man over anyone else. She’s been far too quiet as VP to build any sort of following. The press will pull a Hillary on her, the clueless SJW in the Dems will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory because they’d rather have a woman run than win an election. I’ll vote for anyone they put up, but I sure as hell hope they can put someone up that the swing voters will show up for too.

With Hillary they had been dragging her name for 30 years. They haven’t had time to Hillary Kamala. The misogyny and racism aspect may indeed hurt her, but luckily most of those votes were already Trumps

Yeah, this is the first thing my girlfriend and I said to each other, it’s my biggest point of worry and IMO could have been the straw that broke Hillary’s 2016 run. I’m just hoping that the positives shine through at this point.

This is where Biden remaining president to finish his term is strategically wise. It provides a plausible layer of separation between Harris and Gaza. She can go against Biden and make criticisms – and Biden for his part would need to express disagreement with her.

Once they get the candidate situation situated, donate and canvass for them. Convince your friends to vote. If you feel voting doesn’t matter, remember there’s more on the ballot than the presidential race. A lot of the time meaningful change starts at the local level. You’ll see your political power in action if you get involved in your community.

The neoliberal wing of the democratic party is the one that pushed him to drop out, they’re the ones that are going to pick the new candidate. They’re not going to pick someone who’s as concerned about consumer protections Biden was, they’re not going to put people like Lina Khan in power, they’re not going to what increase taxes on the wealthy, they’re not going to want to look after worker rights and safety. This was a victory for the Nancy Pelosi’s, the Hillary Clinton’s, the Kamala Harris’s. There’s a reason that the people who are backing Biden were the leftists.
