I think the difference is burnout. Shit has been getting worse at a quicker pace, and we are absolutely showered with worse and worse bad news every day.

Being in the same location at the same time certainly seems like it'd make organizing and meeting with union reps easier. And with more motivation to do so due to crappier working conditions. I'd say it's more likely the remainder will unionize, yeah. And then have the union push for WFH.
This is the plan, but it's always a bad one. The people hopping jobs are the top performers, ones with marketable resumes that get snapped up even in a weak market. The ones forced to remain either feel less marketable or are less marketable for a number of reasons.
It's extreme short term thinking that leads to both morale and performance issues sooner than leadership expects.
Sure but the high performers are usually the first ones out the door. That’s arguably gonna cost them more in the long run but who cares about the long run when this quarter’s profits are so high.
This is often, but not always, Constructive Dismissal. When it is, workers are entitled to severance but need to jump through some hoops with the NLRB to get that money.
Cool. I want three resignations. Openly corrupt Thomas, the rapist who isn’t Merrick garland, and the lying christofascist who was placed at the last minute. Sure only one of these is related to the court’s corruptions. But they’re all a corruption of the court. I also want rules on what happens with the senate in the situations of the other two, because either they refused to do their constitutional job and should be punished once or they violated the spirit of the rule in a partisan power grab.
What McConnell did was shady, unethical, and as dirty is as it gets in politics, but all legal unfortunately. You can just arrest political opponents like that. To say so is even dangerous. You sound like the republicans who are openly calling for that and want to do that. That is the sound of authoritarianism and totalitarianism. That is the path we are trying to prevent from happening in our country right now. You cannot go and make statements like that. I hate McTurtle as much as anyone, but we can’t say to arrest him when he hasn’t broken any laws.
Obama should have appointed Garland anyway since Congress was refusing to give “advice and consent” as required by the constitution. Much like a recess appointment, but McConnell made sure Congress never recessed either, just to avoid that.
“It wasnt illegal” is no excuse. He utterly defied the Constirution and his little rules that he made up can fuck right off. And his bullshit “let the American people decide” excuse is patently fraudulent.
And you sound just like the people you despise. While the left needs to stop playing so nice, obeying the law is crucial. Without it, what are you fighting for?
What law are you defending? “fascist Senate majority leaders can simply stop everyone from doing their job whenever he feels butthurt!”?
There was no reason whatsoever that Kavanaugh, Barrett, or Gorsuch should have ever been seated then. Since nobody has to follow the rules why have them?
Hmm I wonder why. Could it be because we can’t fucking afford anything?! Could it be because wealth inequality has been at a high that we’ve never seen before? Could it be because our world is slowly dying and nobody seems to care? Could it be because literal Nazis are roaming the streets and nothing is being done about it?
For me, in addition to all those other things, it’s that even most “good” companies are abusive, so there’s no escape. It’s just “how much abuse are you willing to put up with to work here?”, rather than “this place isn’t abusive”, and I can’t do that roulette anymore.
I’m taking some time off to reassess everything. Maybe in 6 months of absolutely minimal living (to coast on savings) I’ll feel better about it, but with the way things are racing downhill and picking up speed, I’m not optimistic.
