This reminds me of an argument I once had with a friend about seat belts. He kept pointing to NTSB statistics about vehicle collision mortality saying that seatbelts aren’t necessary because mortality without seatbelts has fallen steeply since the 80’s. And while he was right, he didn’t understand that the mortality rates dropping were due to advances in medical science as well as other vehicle safety features, vehicular legislation, and road designs. It was like arguing with a mud pile, so frustrating. The stats didn’t include the number of people who had survived but were paralyzed, or disfigured, or otherwise faced some major life-altering injury.
I can see people doing so sorta in the vein of how some people just accept that they’re very aligned to one of the roles of mother/maiden/crone. But as a gender? Maybe as a nonbinary gender that you only ever hear about on tumblr and Fox News?
I love how the US is simultaneously supplying weapons to Israel while dropping food and building piers for the country Israel is bombing. Wait until Israel bombs the pier.
It is perfectly moral to spoil Tyson products at the grocery store. They are rife with animal abuse, human rights abuse, and illegally dumping toxic waste. Nobody will fault you for accidentally ripping open their products and tossing them in the garbage.
