Bluefalcon , in ‘Could Have Been The Parents’: Trump Tries to Shift Blame For Campaigning At Arlington Scandal, Claims Was a ‘Setup’

Trump " I don’t know the rules or regulations there."

This bitch doesn’t know the rules or regulations of anything. Fucking illiterate, fat, orange stain Tupperware bowl, asshole. I hope nothing but the worse for him.

hate2bme ,

Just like the Dave Chappelle skit where his white friend says “I didn’t know I couldn’t do that” and gets off with a warning.

captainWhatsHisName ,

He just wants to run the whole country again. You probably don’t need any reading comprehension or be able to take responsibility for your own actions for that job.

haunte ,

Dude, while you were preparing to break the rules and regulations there was a person there explaining to you and your team that you were about to break the rules and regulations. But your goons shoved her aside and broke them anyways. Take responsibility for your actions, you pathetic clown. This man is deflection incarnate.

reddig33 , in Texas judge decides Texas is a perfectly good venue for X to sue Media Matters

Is this the judge that owns Tesla stock, or was that a different Elon case?

wjrii ,

Different case, same judge. This guy is so ridiculously reliable as a right wing shill that plaintiffs seek him out.

Under the federal code of judges’ conduct, “a judge should recuse himself if a reasonable person in possession of the relevant facts would believe that the judge has reason for bias. And there is good reason to think that this rule covers O’Connor,” [Harvard Law School Professor Noah] Feldman wrote. “Because Musk is so closely identified with both X and Tesla, Tesla share prices are arguably affected by the performance of X.”

Feldman also said “the fact that Musk’s lawyers appear to have sought a way to appear before O’Connor strengthens the case for recusal.” X’s claim that Texas is an appropriate venue because it has advertisers and users located in Texas is “meager, but perhaps less absurd than those used in some other forum-shopping situations,” he wrote.

DocMcStuffin ,
@DocMcStuffin@lemmy.world avatar

Yep, this is the judge that owns Tesla stocks and refused to recuse himself.

Catma ,

A shitty Texas judge that isn’t Matthew Kacsmaryk? Well I’ll be damned.

Furbag , in Trump campaign strategy pivots to praying he wins September debate

If his team were actually smart they’d realize that lightning won’t strike twice and keep Trump’s mouth shut and keep him far away from the debate stage. Kamala will rip him apart in September, no doubt in my mind.

The only reason he didn’t get a ton of criticism for his insanity at the last debate is because Biden was somehow worse and distracted everybody from Trump’s failing mental health and complete lack of a plan of action to fix the problems he rants and raves about all day and night.

jaggedrobotpubes ,

Lol Biden wasn’t worse. Trump was worse and it wasn’t even in the same ball park. Biden was just surprising.

Just because you’re used to it doesn’t mean it wasn’t objectively and obviously worse.

ilmagico ,

Which ones stand a chance of actually winning?

Linkerbaan OP ,
@Linkerbaan@lemmy.world avatar

You’ve started adding irrelevant criteria.

chronicledmonocle ,

Until we change our First Past the Post voting system in America, there are only two parties that can win. We need to change the rules to get out of this mess.

Linkerbaan OP ,
@Linkerbaan@lemmy.world avatar

Until we elect a third party the rules are never going to change. If stopping a Genocide isn’t in the playbook a new voting system is a pipe dream.

Antmz22 ,

I’m a single issue voter, and that single issue is to not do genocide. This is the lowest possible bar in the world.

If you cannot clear this bar, I will not vote for you, I will not vote for genocide.

Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle” comes to mind.

cybervseas ,

It’s worth a read for more than just that.

Our guy wrote a book about the working class and immigrants being taken advantage of, and how they need to stand up for worker’s rights and unions. And the American public focused on their food being gross.
