That’s why Trump was attacking Brian Kemp in Georgia. Last time, Kemp refused to go along with Trump’s ploys to steal the election. He’s adding pressure now to make sure, if the opportunity arises, Kemp helps Trump steal the next one.
Georgians who aren’t traitors need to start pressuring Kemp (and Raffensperger, and local elections boards, etc.) in the other direction, to stay the course and do their jobs properly. It needs to be made clear (both publicly and personally to the officials involved) that we are even more motivated to protect democracy and the rule of law than the MAGA fascists are to destroy it.

Do these freaks really not remember what it was like to be a kid? Kids do crazy shit, it’s how we all learn about ourselves, our boundaries, our values. Punishing a kid for playing around like this will not help anyone, it will simply make it more likely that this kid acts out later because their sense of what’s socially acceptable and what’s not will be completely skewed by these absurd rules.
I played finger guns in school all the time (before active-shooter drills were a thing, to be fair), and it’s part of how I figured out that I hate guns and violence. Punishment first has never been effective, we need to trust ourselves and our kids a little more.
I lived in a rural area where these creeps just followed the Fed-Ex truck around and then picked up the packages just delivered. I saw them after a delivery at my home and hurried out for my package, picked it up, and waved at them! 🤭 Foiled again!!!

I hate the orange shitbag and have no sympathy if he is suffering. I genuinely want good things for all people. But he wants bad things for many people and so my wishes for good things don’t extend to him, his ilk, etc.
I have been completely calm on the outside yet freaking out on the inside and made excuses to leave so that really isn’t a tell for PTSD or not. I haven’t watched video of the event and I’m not saying the shitbag wouldn’t use it as an excuse to get out of hard questions, I’m just saying with my personal experiences being shot at that giving excuses to get out of what you think is a dangerous situation (but really isn’t) is a classic sign of PTSD.
Active PTSD without treatment? Absolutely not. Maybe with some really good therapy but can you imagine that turnip taking advice from a therapist? Hah!
At 10, they probably won’t even think of that until the next year. And that’s assuming that they actually make them do the grade instead of skip. A lot of schools think it is more important to stay with your age group. And they are probably not wrong.
Imagine how worried their families must be this whole time. I can’t imagine “my family member has been stuck in space for months” is a type of stress that many people would relate to.
Wow, sounds like the idea of "At Will" for the workplace has spread elsewhere. Making a vague generic rule that can be used to get rid of anyone you feel is a problem. I wonder how many "messages" will have to be sent to keep these kids in line from doing anything kid-related.
