I just watched a long deep-dive going through the police interrogation with her. And ironically its one of the few times I’ve come out of it with respect for the cops in situations like this.
They picked up right away that she had researched stand-your-ground and used it to plan the murder and weren’t letting her get away with it.
Wouldn’t that mean that this transparent political hit job was a colossal waste of time on the part of the Republicans?
Not really. Their whole goal is to make sure they can say that Biden is impeached at least as many times as Trump even though they know that they’ll never get a conviction in the senate. The whole investigation is not in the interest of justice or good governing. It’s pure politics. When you point out that it’s all just for show, they’ll turn around and say that the Trump impeachments were the ones that were all for show. And their base, the only one’s they care about, will believe it.
Here’s the kicker. The reason they want to be able to say that is because they are trying to 100% equate Harris with Biden. Watch the first few seconds here (youtube) where Vance says, “It’s hard to believe just how bad the Kamala Harris administration has been…” There hasn’t been a Kamala Harris administration. It’s been the Biden administration, obviously, and Sofa King knows it. This is not a mistake on his part. This is the new play, everything Biden has done, they will try to lay at Harris’ feet including Biden’s impeachment.
It’s shit like this that makes me not give a shit when cops get ambushed or murdered. The whole profession is a cesspool of sociopaths that the world would be better off without. I try no to subscribe to the whole ACAB attitude and believe that they aren’t really all bad, but it’s virtually impossible to hang onto that belief when dangerous officers like this are kept on the force.
I’m actually surprised they don’t have metal detectors in their processing line. It’s very inexpensive and a good safeguard for a fairly common problem. Even if you aren’t getting it come in via the animals (broken treatment needles, things they eat), machines fall apart, bearings fail and drop pieces in the product.
Considering how shitty the working conditions at every Foster Farms plant I’ve worked at were, I can’t imagine a business that isn’t as large being better. If it’s cheaper to pay a slap-on-the-wrist fine for harming people with their shitty products than it is to make their products not kill ya, they will keep on killing.
I legitimately would love to hear the planning process for their whole AI idea. It’s absolutely astounding. Like he’s just giving up and now going for “most sued ex-president of all time” to add to his other list of shitty firsts.
