So the bear was already dead and rather than miss his flight he decided to dump it somewhere that other people would have to deal with it? I get that it isn’t the right thing to do, but this is rather minor in the grand scheme of things that messed up politicians do. I know people love to hate on anyone that they think takes votes away from Democrats. I know Biden is no longer running but I can give you a list of things Biden did that is way more awkward than this and no one here would have said a thing. Heck, they would have been calling people fascist for pointing them out.
Have you ever hit an animal? I never said it was normal. I said it was already dead and that there are far bigger issues to worry about. Is it weird that Biden is okay giving Israel more weapons being used to slaughter children?
Bro, it would be one thing if he hit the bear and just left it there. Accidents happen. Heck, I could even understand talking the body with him, especially if he intended to make use of it’s skin/meat (waste not, and all that). But the point where I draw the line is when he decided that his not-drunken actions have inconvenienced him and he irresponsibly dumped the bear in central park, rather than taking it somewhere to be disposed of properly. Say nothing of the attempt to stage it as a bike accident as a joke. True psychopath behavior right there.
This article didn’t go into it, but here’s a little background info from how some of these heavy metals end up in chocolate (at least):
The researchers found that cacao plants take up cadmium from the soil, with the metal accumulating in cacao beans as the tree grows. That’s similar to how heavy metals contaminate some other foods.
But lead seems to get into cacao after beans are harvested. The researchers found that the metal was typically on the outer shell of the cocoa bean, not in the bean itself. Moreover, lead levels were low soon after beans were picked and removed from pods but increased as beans dried in the sun for days. During that time, lead-filled dust and dirt accumulated on the beans. “We collected beans on the ground that were heavily loaded with lead on the outer shell,” DiBartolomeis says.
The link from my quote includes a breakdown of the different types of bars and how much was found in each, so I would compare the kind of chocolate you usually eat, the safest choices were:
Edit 2: Note this particular study was done on dark chocolate bars. Milk chocolate bars would be more diluted.
Mast - Organic Dark Chocolate\80% Cocoa
Taza Chocolate - Organic Deliciously Dark Chocolate\70% Cacao
Ghirardelli - Intense Dark Chocolate\86% Cacao
Ghirardelli - Intense Dark Chocolate Twilight Delight\72% Cacao
Valrhona - Abinao Dark Chocolate\85% Cacao
Even those contained small levels of both, so eating an entire bar all at once is probably not a good idea.
Also there are other foods that can have it:
It can be found in many other foods—such as sweet potatoes, spinach, and carrots—and small amounts from multiple sources can add up to dangerous levels. That’s why it’s important to limit exposure when you can.
To my knowledge, that is only lead acetate. If it was lead acetate that would be a obvious additive, however the article talks about how the metals are accumulated from the cocoa plants themselves through the soil.
Koch brother: I missed how many? It’s a good thing my brother is dead or he’d kill me for not buying all of them! Well at least we have half the Senate, that’s all we really need.

Trump wears an excessive amount of bronzer. Not always, but when he plans to make public appearances he does for sure. There are a few photos out there, usually of him at his golf resorts where he thinks he’s safe from the paparazzi and they snap some candid shots of his pale, pallid looking skin, unkempt hair, and even eczema sores. Dude is super vain about it, but honestly, the mock-ups of him without all the work required to keep his signature look - the hair plugs, the bronzer, the TV makeup, etc. actually make him look more like his age and a bit more relatable from a… I dunno, human perspective?
We should be admitting the top students from all over the world so that some of them will ply their trades here, boosting our own economy and services. But racism and jingoism prevails.
