I could think of a few elections where I’d vote for that shit stain.

“Which Texas senator do you want to accidentally air dropped outside of Darfur?” Comes to mind.

The good news is there’s a lot of places American politicians probably don’t want to be air dropped, so plenty of elections…

I’m not sure if he’s trying to help biden… you know… by making it sound like Biden actually did the right fucking thing here and cut off the genocidal maniac… or trying to fuck biden; because we all know that Biden will ship harder for Netty-Boo

Chances are he was more like a cult leader it wasn’t until a decade or two after his death that things really got into full swing, so chances are the actual Jesus would be quite surprised by everything “he” did.

But there were a lot of Jewish mystics cropping up at the time so it’s not impossible or even implausible for some one vaguely matching the description to have existed.

You like hitting the sauce, huh? :)

Man survives being lost in California mountains for 10 days by eating berries (www.theguardian.com)

As McClish told it, the 34-year-old outdoors enthusiast from Boulder Creek, California, lost his bearings after beginning his hike the morning of 11 June. He had not informed anyone else of his plans, so it would not be until the afternoon of Thursday, 20 June, that the unkempt-looking hiker was found at the bottom of a remote...

FuglyDuck ,

I’m guessing “enthusiast” really doesn’t mean “goes hiking all the time”, but rather “likes the idea of going hiking all the time”,

I’m sure there’s a gain fan of Halloween who looks at Sam and falls in love. Some sugar free ketchup or strawberry syrup… and he’ll fill any role perfectly. Victim or monster, creeper-from-behind…friendly door man.

I also seem to remember his people saying that he’s very sweet and affectionate.

For the record, if you go to carpet stores you can frequently get discounts by getting discards, or like, broken packs of the tiles.

The trouble is, the scraps aren’t always what you’re looking for.

I have a timeshare cat (I watch him when his family goes out of town,) whose ordinary as standoffish as they come.

Unless you happen to be one of like 3 people. It’s fun watching him figure out which one to harass with his aggressive affection,

A very dapper fellow.

is it illegal to create a ticket on reddit?

Reddit is blocking vpns and invites users to create a ticket if they think there’s been an error. I almost created a ticket with email address [email protected] saying i wasn’t sure if I was using a VPN with the body text just being “fuckyouspez!!!” over and over. I didn’t submit it because I thought for a moment...

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

insults aren’t illegal, and spam mail isn’t generally illegal either. as far as I know, there’s no law against sending an occasional email even if it is spam. the general exceptions are for commercial/businesses types and that’s generally only really illegal when it breaks the email carriers.

besides which, the OP is talking about opening a ticket on Reddit’s customer service system, not actually sending an email. Spez won’t even see it.

Question… do you realize how fascist this sounds?

You might mean well, but all you’re doing is changing who’s being discriminated against.

Not cool.

I remember going to the zoo, they had some endangered wild horses from Asia, iirc, as breeding program.

The zookeeper was explaining to some parents that they males were rocking back and forth to masturbate. Also, that they had given them things to make them horny as fuck.

Nobody asked about the giant piles of jizz everywhere.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

No. You’re just saying we need to label religious professionals.

Because that’s a thing literal Nazis never did

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Most people are born into their religion, as a matter of culture. Frequently, religion is integral to their culture, and even if they do choose to leave that religion, it likely will leave an indelible mark- good or bad-

Their purpose is to other-ize religious scientists, exactly like what the yellow star was used to do to Jews by Nazis, (and at other times and places.) I think we all know what Nazis did to those they otherized.

The rhetoric is absolutely the same kind of justification for forcing it is also the same. When non-Jewish Germans started sympathies with Jews, do you think they admitted it was to encourage discrimination and bigotry, or do you think they said things like “we know it’s difficult, but they do shoddy work and you should know that you need to keep an eye on them.”

Couching it in the rhetoric of atheist enlightenment doesn’t make it okay. It’s still bigotry, and while the OC might not realize that, meaning to or not, it’s still advancing bigotry.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

And, do you think, that a scientist who happens to be LGBTQ, doing a study on monkey sexuality, is able to be not biased by their worldview?

That because they seem to agree with you they’re immune from bias and are therefore totally trustworthy?

How pedantic do you want to get?

Either the science is good or it’s not. Either the study was conducted to minimize bias, the data is clean, and the conclusions come from verified evidence, or it’s not. We don’t need to know what particular flavor of human someone is- everyone is biased. Most studies are funded by private interest, and opening people up to rampant discrimination isn’t going to change that.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah. So. To clarify, you’re okay with discriminating against people, so long as they’re the right people?

Netanyahu: US promised to lift hold on ammunition, weapons (jpost.com)

Char is totally judging your choice in games and movies. totally.

Don’t feel too bad. I built my first beowulf cluster out of my dad’s cave of obsolescence in the mid-90’s… pentium II’s and older. nobody noticed the giant networked-cabled-monstrosity with cables going all over the basement until he got home and wondered why his network was being weird.

(I may have also borrowed his network switch.)

“Oh. that’s cool but. uhm. WHY!!!?!?!”

“PiMark” (i think that’s what it was called, anyhow. It was a benchmarking tool that would time your systems’ time to calculate Pi to x digits. Or you could donate cycles to calculate… more pi.)

“uh. okay.”… “clean up when your done.”

Or do you think the secret service would stop him?

If they use CF composites again, it doesn’t matter. They have a limited lifespan and will eventually fail from the load cycles of diving and coming back up.

Which is why nobody else uses CF in pressure hulls. It’s a ticking time bomb with no way to properly validate integrity.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

I mean… If I was gonna.,… I’d use triton, too.

We can hope they fall behind maintenance schedules, though. (Also, the last one was their own fever dream… made of CF. Just saying.)

We generally don’t see all the warts in the people closest to us, and family is more likely to want to put an idealized version of people out there.

Look at comments by parents of active shooters, to the effect of “I didn’t raise a monster, I don’t know why this happened,”.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Are you seriously not seeing why professional contacts would be more likely to have a fair opinion and share it? It’s his lawyers that said he didn’t seem suicidal.

Or are you seriously just trying to insist it’s not suspicious any way you can?

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

There’s quite a bit of difference between “open to the public” and “easy to penetrate”. The reason we were pentesting for them is to figure out how bad it was, and where we needed to focus for improvement. It’s not hard to get into, especially considering that most ICU’s allow guests during certain times.

security is always a balancing act between being secure and pretty much everything else. A building with no doors or windows is far more secure, but also pretty much useless. a working hospital- especially large ones- have small army of people working there; as well as veritable hordes of people visiting for dozens of different reasons on a regular basis; It’s almost impossible to verify that everyone in the building is supposed to be there; and the risk of someone being an assassination target with out that person knowing about it and discussing it with the staff is extremely rare.

All this to say, if Boeing wanted to get someone dead at a hospital, it would be trivial for them. Maybe expensive, but functionally trivial.

FuglyDuck ,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

And we’re back to… one or two people… Maybe a few suppliers for the virus/drugs/whatever. But that can be obtained in places that don’t ask too many questions, and Boeing has the resources to do that. They don’t even need to be black market.
