In case you didnât know, MĂŒnecat recently uploaded a three-hour video debunking evolutionary psychology: youtu.be/31e0RcImReY
I figure the overlap between hbomberguy and mĂŒnecat viewers in the Venn diagram is basically a circle, so that should help if you have an hbomberguy craving.
Thereâs a lot of YouTubers that started doing big videos like that and i just donât have the time to watch something like that and give it all my attention. Same with caddicarus, used to watch both of these a lot but since they started having massively long videos i just havenât bothered with them in ages
You definitely don't have to watch it all in one go. I usually just watch however much of it I want to watch that day and then send myself a time stamped link to pick it back up whenever I have the time and interest again
Of course if you're just not interested that's totally fair
At that point, youâre basically just listening to podcasts. Leaning into it might be a good choice, since thereâs no visual element that gets lost when listening to podcasts, as compared to YouTube videos.
I would guess 80% of the people who watch these arenât actually watching them. Hell, background play is the real reason I pay for YouTube Premium. Not having to worry about ads is a nice bonus.
Yeah I pretty much stopped playing competitive games completely. I really like playing with friends so I play a lot of coop. A way out and it takes two were some excellent coop games. Escape simulator and escape academy as well, if youâre into puzzles.
One time we saw this weener slinger in a parking lot that basically had a drive-thru operation going and we got intrigued but wernt hungry at the time.
So we went out looking for him again on another day and found him somewhere else and got ready for some dinner glizzies, but he was charging $14!
We had come all this way so we had to still get them and they were very good with a side of fries and a canned drink but no matter what $14 for a hot dog is just not right
Iâm the worst about this. My mom and I will try a new restaurant and Iâll be talking about âoh this needs acid, thatâs the perfect amount of heat, blah blah.â Meanwhile, Iâm over here âcookingâ noodles with a pile of kimchi every other day because thatâs all I ever have in the fridge.
Same. We find restaurants a challenge because at home I make everthing from scratch, including sauces, and it is way above parâŠbut also this week the fridge was low so i had a coffee and a large spoon of those fried dried onions for breakfast
Oh Iâm the opposite - Iâm not a very good cook because I donât enjoy doing it. Iâm pretty good with flavors because Iâm not afraid of seasonings, but my knife skills are bordering on Worst Cook in America levels. The abuse I have wrought upon poor, innocent, delicious onions is a crime.
Also, if you like the fried onions, have you seen the jalapeno version? So good. Iâve started putting them on everything.
Apparently new x-ray systems are now able to differentiate the density of water from other more dangerous chemicals, which has made so some airport customs do in fact allow water bottles through.
In Schiphol, Amsterdam you donât have to remove your electronics or bottles from your bag, just shove it all in one tray and youâre good to go! Itâs so much faster than any other airport Iâve been to.
you liberals are such fuckig morons, its unbelievable.
i suppose, according to you the slaves of haiti should have simply forgiven the slavers, since they were âplaying by the rulesâ. this institutionality fetish of yours is the same excuse fascists use to justify their crimes. âthe untermenschen werent playing by the rules.â
please read theory. especially engels, lenin and mao.
I do read theory. I just know theory isnt the be all end all of understanding the world. If it was, that would be great, but you just happen to agree with this guys philosophical musings. Besides that, you call me a liberal when Iâm literally not but whatever.
Youâre arguing with an imaginary friend and a beautiful strawman opinion you made for him to hold.
I never said anything about Haiti, but comparing anybody living in a first world country (the vast majority of this siteâs users and where such a revolution is more likely to take place) to a slave is disingenuous at absolute best.
I also donât think that Dessalines needed to massacre the remaining french people on the island. Iâm willing to bet I have a better und3rstanding of the haitian revolution than you. You know they reinstated slavery within a couple of years, right? Read some Trouillot.
Isnât the context about the overthrow of the Russian Empire by communist revolutionaries? Not modern first-worlders? Am I missing something here? Why would âforeign imperialistsâ be relevant to modern first-worlders?
That being said, to actually answer your line of questioning, it is the correct solution to change society while ALSO overthrowing and locking up the oppressors. That may involve the elite dying, but those deaths are necessary. Peaceful reformism and strict nonviolence policies never works â unless you consider extremely high amounts of unnecessary suffering for innocents to achieve comparatively minor goals as âsuccessâ (cough cough Nelson Mandela). Even Gandhi and MLK (who took most of his influence from Gandhi), although nonviolence advocates, were well aware that violence is often necessary to achieve a better future, and much of the work they did was to the benefit of violent/militant revolutionaries (although of course theyâre portrayed a lot more neutered/âderadicalizedâ, as well as the roles of complete compliance to nonviolence being completely overstated while violent methods are hidden away as if they didnât exist, not even to be mentioned).
After capture though, death pentalty is not the way to go, but life imprisonment is fine and they may have a chance to be released later, mostly depending on their status/loyalty. Iâm sure a lot of ârevolutionariesâ would disagree with me though, but Iâm not an âeye for an eyeâ believer⊠I suppose if youâre in a situation where the former imperialist rulers would likely have power to directly cause damage while detained or incarcerated, or theyâre likely to escape or be ârescuedâ, then it would be justified to chop off their heads or put a bullet in their cranium.
The core issue is that these people (the oppressors/ruling class) can not be rehabilitated, and are likely to stir up considerable trouble and disrupt when they have the opportunity, either in a bid to regain their power, or out of a large feeling of loss that makes them go nuts. You canât always reasonably ensure that they wonât try to fuck shit up in the future.
Thatâs just my view, but of course there are people other than me who are just bloodthirsty for vengeance (my opinion is that theyâre not thinking all too rationally and itâs the same mindset as parents that hit/yell at their kids, theyâre convincing themselves itâs for the greater good but in reality itâs just attempting to satisfy their feelings of anger). Either way, I see their lives as considerably less valuable than the lives of the people they oppressed, not because they have an inherently evil soul or something, but because they are already too far gone and only can bring chaos to the world.
Just vote for a classless society, you fool, you absolute baffoon.

We live in bourgeois âdemocracies,â which were formed from bourgeois revolutions. These states werenât created to represent us, and they never have and never will. The rules of the system canât be reformed into socialism, because the bourgeoisie will never allow it. They would sooner unleash fascism on us (again in the case of Europe) than relinquish ownership of the means of production.
