Maybe it’s always been a gambling addiction, i dont really know. My kids (and their whole school) don’t play, but they buy and trade like they think they will make money. Some look up prices on TCG, some don’t. They think alt art, misprints, and the one good card you get per pack is worth gold. I only let them buy with money they make.
Gigantamax is just a form they can take that makes them huge, just like mega evolutions back in the day. There’s also EX formes, V, V star and a few others. It’s just alternative forms for that generation, it’s really not that hard to grasp
Which day was that? I played Yellow, Gold, and Ruby/Sapphire and have never heard of mega evolutions. Though I did know of gigantamax since I bought sword and shield for my niece and myself.

I think such data is currently overvalued on a overgrown ad-targeting market with too many competitors, and adding more ads only devaluates each ad value further, because users’ consuming capacity also has a limit. So I see a severe correction coming. Another bubble burst, and another crisis inside the crisis that late capitalism itself is.

I might be missing something but the document seems to be comparing Cloudflare to the great firewall of China and calling them criminal because of things they could potentially do?
They’re all uppity that to use cloudflare proxy they have to terminate the ssl connection there. So technically cloudflare can sniff all the traffic. But that’s kind of the point of WAFs and Reverse Proxies.
I would argue that the sheer amount of data throughput that Cloudflare has, you’d have to really be on a list to be monitored… and they certainly cannot just log all data willy nilly.
I suppose this one is quite simple. How can they cache, if they don't MitM the connection? I don't think it would be technically possible. If you want the cache/CDN you just need to use a company you trust. If you don't trust them then you don't get the cache/CDN.
Correct. But people are viewing the DDOS protection, Cache, WAF, etc… functions as evidence that Cloudflare is obviously malicious and storing 100% of all data traversing them.
I’ve seen no evidence of that yet, and will certainly discontinue use of them if they show such tendencies. Until then, I will absolutely leverage their platform for my use as a paying customer.
I do understand the fear with their free platform though… They’ve gotta make money somehow, and I feel there’s probably a fear that is data collection.

Japan is trying to change things. I think it’s just really far behind. While I was there, I remember government run/funded dating programs. The government names and shames companies that overwork their employees. But their definition of overwork is probably well beyond ours. The one-employer-for-life mentality is slowly eroding but it’s slow.
