How do you get the AI results on google.com? When I search for anything, it shows a summary and then all the results, sponsors, etc… Nothing is tagged as “AI”.
(I never visit google so forgive me if this has an obvious answer)
I think it’s still in A/B testing stages, 80% of my searches don’t include the AI but it pops up occasionally. I also notice it more often on my phone, and rarely on my desktop where I’m not signed in.
I can reproduce most results with Google app on Android. I’m in Europe, not in USA. It just appears as some text below the search box, not marked as anything. Except this one about smoking. Now it says smoking as bad. I guess Google already told the AI to behave.
Self defence, the mob was going to use the Struggle attack on the defendant, so the use of a “person defence weapon” in this situation is protected by the amendment, and its not my defendants fault that the rail company leaves switch levers unattended, and in the position that just so happened to destroy people on the track.
Yes, we need to bring in more lawyers to the trolley problem. I’m sure one of them can craft a solution that completely removes the protagonist from any responsibility and completely shortcuts the moral problem.
I think it is interesting to point out that AI will be good, maybe too good. It isn’t right now, it’s a novelty in the early stages of such mass adoption that a lot of the consequences are just starting to appear.
The phones owned by Gen A in 40 years will have a useful, realistic, and default AI assistant. It just sucks that the development of this technology is only driven by late-stage capitalism.
I haven’t tried it myself yet, but Fan Control looks incredibly promising. I keep going back and forth about whether it makes sense to build a desktop, so I’m just gathering lots of info for whenever I finally pull the trigger lol.
I was referring to my laptop so it’s a bit different from a desktop
However with a desktop usually you have to use the software for your parts to control the fans
For example my GPU is gigabyte so I have to use their app for GPU fan control
My motherboard is MSI so I have to use their software for cpu fan and any case fans I attach to the motherboard
I haven’t looked into it that much so I can’t say for sure but I don’t know of a way to controll all these fans from one place (unless they’re allt he same brand)
That’s not true at all. Watch the video I linked. You can control CPU fan, GPU fan, and any case fan from this one elegant piece of software. And you can establish fan curves based on thermostats. So for example, with high CPU load and low GPU load, normally your CPU would hotbox your whole system; with this you can tell your GPU fan to ramp up based on CPU temps to get ahead of heat soak and start ventilating more before the GPU ever sees that heat.
A lot of these are anger or high energy. What about when you’re hungover and it’s early in the morning? I went to a metal festival once and was woken up by Skindred - Nobody at about 8am. I don’t want metal in the morning! I want something safe and slow. Give me Journey or Snow Patrol.
What about some Doom like Khemmis, Neurosis, Windhand, Monolord? Low energy like Devin Townsend’s “Ocean Machine” Melodic and melancholic like Leprous Or progressive like Wheel
So, this is gonna sound weird, but I actually find a lot of these bands calming to listen to. I’m autistic, and have a lot of weird sensory issues because of it, so music that’s too simple (a lot of pop or punk or other genres that show up on the radio usually) doesn’t fully grab my attention. Like, there’s not enough happening at once for me to feel immersed in it.
So I’ll end up listening to Power Metal to fall asleep sometimes because I can hear every instrument individually, and my brain switches focus to each one at random times, and it’s stimulating enough that I can be completely distracted from my other senses and calm down. Dragonforce is my go-to because they even have two lead guitarists at the same time.
That said, I do have songs of every genre in my library, and if I do want something slower or simpler, there’s a ton of Metal ballads that aren’t necessarily high energy. Try something like Crimson Day by Avenged Sevenfold, Remembrance Day or Trail of Broken Hearts by Dragonforce, Christmas Truce by Sabaton, or Mother Gaia by Stradivarius.
There’s a lot more examples, but you can certainly have slow, calm metal. I could probably make a decent sized playlist
Korpiklaaani’s cover of Ievan Polkka goes absolutely insanely hard
Yes, that’s the only thing I know about them
I’ve also recently discovered Brothers of Metal who despite having the most boring metal band name in history are a pretty good nordic/viking metal band, I’m a big fan of Powersnake by them in particular recently
Coldworld (DSBM - If I’m feeling absolutely miserable)
Trees of Eternity (Doom?)
Heisskalt (German Post-Rock)
Invent Animate (Metalcore)
Fen (Atmospheric Black Metal?)
More Than Life (Metalcore)
Angry
FJØRT (German Post-Rock)
Infant Annihilator (Deathcore)
Der Weg Einer Freiheit (Black Metal
ERRA (Metalcore)
Gojira (Death Metal)
Ensiferum (again)
Disgust
IGORRR (???)
Gutalax (Grindcore)
Dehumanizing Itatrian Worship (Grindcore?)
Fear
Lifelover
Hollow Prophet (Deathcore)
I wanna set the world on fire
Primordial
Just vibing
Mesarthim (Chill Space Black Metal)
Long Distance Calling (Instrumental)
Vola (Djent/Progressive)
Brutus (Post-Rock)
The Moth Gatherer (Sludge/Drone Metal)
Sisare (Progressive Rock)
Ne Obliviscaris (Progressive)
Rammstein (Industrial Metal)
Creating this list I noticed, that many songs and bands fit multiple moods, which kind of made it hard for me to öin down which emotion I would assign them lol
LOL, I guess that’s fitting for some of his songs! If you listen to others like “ieuD” it’s more on the Metal side, but they always keep you guessing whatever they may come up with next
For a brief moment in the beta for all this, it basically just summarized the top two or three reputable results, and attached a link to where it got the data.
They should have just left it at that, and not started mixing in random blogs and social media sites.
The ability to summarize the Wikipedia article and a random university professors page where they list every fact known to man about pine trees or something was actually helpful.
If I want the AIs best guess about how to fuck up a pizza, I just go to the site where I can ask it. Bad advice when searching is just shit.
A tldr for “what is turpentine” is actually helpful.
