A good test to see if an alien race has a sense of humor would be to ask if they imitate each other's ways of speaking
Fallout 4
So I figured it’s about time I gave this game a shot....
Developers of Lemmy who worked both in mobile video game and console/pc video game industries, which did you prefer, and why?

I already fear that this may be a bit too specific since it’s a bit of a niche need, but here goes:...
Who all is out there, setting different sensitivities for X and Y on their mouse settings? Does anybody actually do this?
I’ve never met anyone who does this. I’ve never HEARD of anyone who does this. I cannot think of any possible reason WHY anyone would want to do this....
Annotations for *Star Trek: Discovery* 5x04: "Face the Strange" (SPOILERS)
The title comes from the David Bowie song “Changes” from the 1971 album Hunky Dory. The song also has the lyric “Time may change me, but I can’t trace Time.” Given the theme of this episode, it seems appropriate....

I’m using bluez and blueman all updated and i get this error when connecting to multiple devices(DS4 controller, phone, earbuds). It says Connection failed: No audio endpoints registered. I have tried extensively to solve this but I can’t seem to find the issue. I’m using arch linux. I’ve also used bluetoothctl to try...

What about a linux phone that has a full Android OS sleeping in parallel? Like OnePlus Watch 2 that runs 2 OSs at the same time.
The OnePlus Watch 2 has 2 chips, and basically runs a lightweight OS while keeping the hungry one in very very low power, and only powering it up when necessary....
GPS Tracking (Android) App
I’m looking for recommendations for an Android app to track and report GPS-type data (if such an app exists). Specifically, I’m hoping to be able to extract stops, origin/destination, roads/route traveled, and speed information....
Is there a more politically and ideologically diverse alternative for Lemmy?
I know the real answer is reddit but I really don’t want to go back now that I’ve already grown used to life without it. I was hoping for Lemmy to be a viable substitute but it isn’t. I can see how this place is wonderful for the certain type of person but that person is not me. My experience during the past 6+ months has...
Is it possible to receive an electric shock when you *stop* touching something?
I seem to remember as a young child being told that it is safe to touch a Van de Graff generator (for the hair demonstration), but that if you let go before it is safe you will get a nasty shock. I know a bit more about electricity now, and I’m a little skeptical now. Is it possible to get a shock from letting go of something?

For me it’s quantum computing - especially considering its impact on most current encryption methods
Games that still need more patience: what games released a year ago (or older) are you waiting for a sale on? Or that need another patch?
Other than a slew of Nintendo titles that maybe hopefully will come down in price (the patient gamers’ bane), I have my eye on the next time Divinity: Original Sin 2 goes on sale. A friend who never plays anything other than WoW loved playing Larian’s newest with me and I’m trying to get her to pick this up. Pretty sure...
very niche question, i apologise, but is there any place you know of that provides linux gog installers via direct download?
i know, i know, i should have a vpn by now. but i really can’t justify it, even the cheaper ones. but gog-games.to only carries windows installers (usually it’s not too bad to get them working on proton but there is a few cases where i just can’t get them to run at all). do you lovely people at /c/piracy know of any...
MUSIC - What is the deepest cover song you know?
By deep I mean with the most obscure original. I am not talking ‘all along the watch tower’ but things like Fever Ray’s cover of Vashti Bunyan’s song Here before...
Differences between Kali ISOs?
Hi, I would know what are the differences between the vm-designed Kali Linux ISO and the “normal” one. Yes the vm-designed one is as “vm ready file”, already configure and all the stuff… but what are the real differences, for example it says on the website that the vm one is isolated, but is this already not the case...
