Sadly it is not really even an imperfect solution. Yes there have been a few departments who lost insurance, but it did nothing to stop the cops responsible for the bad behavior from working as cops, often at the agency who has to take over. Additionally the number of departments shut down is just a drop in the bucket of bad behavior. Lastly this can leave communities without adequate law enforcement.
I have nothing against increasing the cost of bad policing, but this does very little of anything to actually cause change.

That’s why it would work better if they individually had to carry insurance. Cops with a history of bad behaviour would find themselves priced out of the job.
I dunno but it’s cartoon better have a little tin cup and be begging - they are aggressive AF with trying to get donations. In general, but especially if you ever give them money.
They sorta have to be aggressive because it’s damn near impossible to get people to pay for online services nowadays. Everybody expects to get everything for free, but also nobody wants to see ads (for a good reason too, mind you.)
Yeah, I wish they would push a different model. I think the charity model is likely unsustainable long term. Quality contributions to the information should buy you some access and perhaps everyone gets access to some basic info on entries but more in depth data requires a micropayment perhaps.
It would get infested with bots writing articles and other bots upvoting the quality status. The people with resources to do that wouldn’t have any interest in telling the truth.
Especially considering urban dictionary consists almost entirely of shock humor and isn’t really a good resource for you know, actually understanding people.
So, basically, he had one accident per year. And he is not smart enough to understand that the universe is trying to tell him "Don't drive a car, then!"
Nah, people here just drive without a license. I really wish that wasn’t the case but it’s kind of inevitable when so much quality of life here is dependent on driving.
If you’re lucky enough to have people to support you that can really mitigate it, but unfortunately we’re not all so lucky.
