I love how people keep believing in these wunderwaffe. They can train them all they like, but these are obviously not going to make any significant difference.
There is absolutely no way in which a couple of airplanes will affect the war so drastically, furthermore it’s impossible for the US to provide Ukraine with enough of them since it takes so much to manufacture and they need to have a stockpile, meanwhile Russia could use airplanes that are older since Ukraine basically doesn’t have an air force and still get the upper hand.
F16’s won’t give Ukraine much of an advantage until sufficient numbers of pilots are a trained. There are two weapons that could immediately change the battlefield landscape. GLSDB’s and ATACM’s are long range precision bombs that would allow Ukraine to target Russian supply lines and ammunition stores far behind the front lines, including into Crimea. They both have backup inertial guidance systems in order to mitigate GPS jamming… which is a big problem for their current guided munitions.
The problem with F-16’s is that when they’re inevitably shot down, the videos will be all over the net and it will look awful from a spend perspective.
Even if he was killed by cluster bombs, so what? He’s a Russian on Ukraine soil. That doesn’t make him a combatant per she, but it doesn’t make him a innocent bystander either.

I 100% agree that this is Russia’s own fault. Don’t put non-soldiers next to soldiers actively fighting in a war, because there’s a good chance they’ll be hit by enemy munitions.

You do not attack hospitals, first aid responders and journalists, for fucks sake. I don’t give a fuck whose “side” this journalist belongs to. They are there to provide information of a battle field that would otherwise be lost.

Rules in war? This entire war is already illegal. Russia shouldn't even be in Ukraine in the first place. And yes, if you're a frontline reporter, then it might happen that you end up in the crossfire, especially from artillery fire. Or do you think Ukraine saw some reporter through their drones and decided to target them? Stop being an apologist for Russia's aggression.

It was reported on by the UN Human Rights Council and the NYT back in 2014/2015, back when such stories could still be printed, not exactly famed Russian-biased propaganda outlets or questionable internet sources.
And I’m talking about desensitized comments almost cheering for and ridiculing the death of a Russian journalist (or evil propagandis, which makes it a-ok). Journalists know what they’re signing up for when reporting out of war zones. It happens.

As a Ukrainian, I hate English sometimes. In Ukrainian, we have many ways to make a short title phrase very much precise, but in English you have to speak large to speak clear.
The sentence wasn’t necessarily unclear, you just have to have a good grasp on how the rules of English grammar establish the subject and object of the sentence, and you need a good sense for how context clues work, and enough cultural context to know what errors the writer is making so you can correct for them. As with many things, we can blame the French for this.
