Holyginz , to games in Diablo 4’s Season 2 patch rebalances each class and nearly every Unique item

I’m not going to even consider playing again till more comes out about it. Diablo is grindy by design and I have no interest in going through the grind until I know that there is going to be a good return on that effort.

ObamaBinLaden ,

Brother this entire patch has been designed with reducing grind in mind and now you can target farm uber uniques. Is that not worth it?

(To put things in numbers, in the previous Dev stream they said grind to level 100 is now reduced by 40%)

Man, I fucking hate articles like that.

"This Steam/GOG game on sale at lowest price ever!”

And then refuses to actually link to it at the store.

DebatableRaccoon ,

Hopefully not for long given all their recent terrible decisions.

paddirn OP , to games in Twitch streamer plays Palworld using only her mind

Seems interesting, I hadn’t heard of this before. She seems to have to imagine an image of a thing to get the control to register, like a cricket jumping to make her character jump, which actually seems more difficult than just playing with a physical controller or keyboard/mouse, since I don’t think I actually “think” about making those sorts of movements. It seems like it would be cumbersome having to imagine the movement everytime, but maybe it becomes 2nd nature for her while she’s playing like this.

JohnWorks ,

I wonder if there could be a feedback loop on something like it too where if you see your character walking then they’ll continually walk because you’re actively seeing/imagining it?

INeedMana ,

I’d expect “thinking about left” and “seeing someone go left” to be two different “waves”

Wild_Mastic ,

I know she uses an image of a spinning plate to do some actions (I forgot which). She also played minecraft this way.

AnarchistArtificer , to gaming in Anita Sarkeesian is shutting down Feminist Frequency after 15 years

Oof, the last paragraph hit me hard:

“It gave me space to breathe a little more,” she said. “I remember a moment where I did get harassed, I don’t know what it was, but it was either a Twitter [message] or an email. And [when I saw it], I was like, Oh, that hurts. And then I was like, Wait a minute. That hurts. That’s cool. Being able to feel again, that’s a form of healing.” And by stepping away for a bit, she hopes to keep giving herself more and more space to grow.

I learned a lot from Anita Sarkeesian’s work, and it was a nice thing to see, growing up as a girl who had to justify my existence in the space, despite gaming making up a huge portion of my youth

When something gets removed from steam and it’s in your steam library but not installed, is it gone forever?

yamanii ,
@yamanii@lemmy.world avatar

No, people just can’t buy it anymore.

Stern ,
@Stern@lemmy.world avatar

You can still install and play it. If it has cards you can earn them and get account xp from making sets of them, same with emotes and wallpapers. You can’t sell (or buy, obviously) any of that on the Steam marketplace though, but can still trade them. Achievements get a little wonky.
