Speaking of Dragon Ball, it’s in a very weird “how to progress further” dillema after Toriyama’s death. Various people have the rights for different purposes; and want to do different things with the franchise.

I just hope it doesn’t end up like LOTR franchise where they cash out for shit ass products that doesnt respect its source material.

I love Dragon Ball, but as a franchise, it’s shit.

The original DB was a light hearted adventure series.

Then DBZ was a lot darker and introduced most of the series lore.

Then GT turned Goku into a kid, and tried to do both.

Super tried to recreate the lightheartedness of the original DB, but with the Z fights - some of it was good, most wasn’t.

The upcoming series, Daima, everyone magically turns chibi. Evidently, Toriama is fixated on returning to the original DB.

I don’t think Daima will be good. Toriama needs to let kid goku go.

Alsa is the very base of the Linux audio system. Pipewire and pulseaudio run on top of it. Back before pulseaudio it was directly used by software

Definitely next to Linux guy. I’ve been working on Linux since very early days, so I don’t talk about it because at this point it is as core to my life as knowing how to brush teeth. Nothing would entertain me more than to spend a flight giving that guy the ole “ummmm…actually”.
