If I were a parent; I’d only install a DNS filter against malware/ads to any device my kid uses until my kid is capable of understanding how to detect one. While I can teach them how to use the internet; it should be up to my kids to determine what they decide to do with it in the end.

I was browsing a certain cheat market forum to see how fast would the new GTA 5 anticheat would get bypassed.

I really was hoping a similar push from Epic considering they’ve pushed for alternative stores on mobile platforms and also can offer competitive pay shares to devs that use Unreal; but titles that joined its mobile store are very limited. The olimex company just announced the: RVPC - a kit PC with a RISC-V CPU, and they say it'll cost US$1 (olimex.wordpress.com)

It will support PS/2 keyboards and VGA. Intended to be a learning platform for RISC-V coding, it’s only got 2k of RAM. (I tried finding a 3rd party source for this announcement but I struck out, so I’m linking the actual olimex webpage. Not affiliated with them, just thought this looked neat.)

A CPU on its own cannot be a microcontroller alone via its definition; as a microcontroller contains a CPU and other needed components to drive it.

No microcontroller is going to beat a computer with a modern microprocessor on complex computing though. But it’s good to know tech is still improving on all sides.

You can disable your router’s wireless networking (or hide its SSID if you want to use wireless networking). It won’t be an issue if you use either way. Since your dorm told you that you could use a router; these terms wont matter.

Discord being a US based company lets FBI access to its data much more directly. While TikTok still provides this data, them not being US based ticks off FBI, because there is the chance of chinese government interfering with the legitimacy of data that TikTok would provide. On China, the state has much more control over the companies than US.

The US can’t even deal with a billionaire buying up a social media platform and influence elections; but China can collapse any company’s success at a whim. Changing a legal data request from another country is certainly something they can do if China demands it.

AoE2. I played the hell out of singleplayer back in the day, and with Remastered they both added new ones and improved the storytelling in old ones. Art of War campaign also is a good introduction to multiplayer combat.

I think whatever the Mastodon class is, you’ll need some sort of pre-installing library to use it and import it, and import json too.
