The only amazing thing about it is the dual trackpad typing. Apart from that it lacks keys like Alt, Ctrl, Esc and the F-keys. Sometimes the arrow keys, tab and insert send weird key codes.
All my smart TVs have existed without wifi or connections to the net themselves, only the devices that connect (Nintendo, Playstation, Roku, etc) . It’s easy from that perspective, all depends on what you want and need.
You probably want commercial displays. They’ll cost a bit more, but they’re also designed to run 24/7 (think the screens they use in menus, signs, etc) so they could probably last forever as a TV.
Do you have a suggestion for one with HDR or that runs a proper refresh rate and response time. There are a few good options for NEC but they’re about 15 grand.
It’s annoying that you can either choose between having a weedy shit burger that’s mostly lettuce and has to be held together with a stick, or eating a really expensive one and have to look at a load of wanker tat on the walls.
Also, you can stick your brioche buns up your arse. A brioche bun is not a load bearing bun. It dissolves in contact with moisture.
Hold on, a brioche bun can totally work! Toast the bun, put a little mayo on it, put the veggies on the bottom (at least the lettuce), and a regular-sized burger will hold up just fine.
Not saying it can’t go wrong, especially in a place that just wants the decor and the food to look good on Instagram even if it’s disappointing when you bite into it. But for burgers I’ve made, a brioche bun can be a nice option. :P
Also why do Americans like mixing sweet and salty. Here in Australia they have brioche buns everywhere now. I hate that crap, if you don’t have normal buns give me two slices of bread instead
All the people watch commercials, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a correlation between the kind of person that can watch stupid reality shows for hours on end and the kind of person who watches those ads and it actually translates into them spending money on the things in the ads.
Probably so. I don’t know if home shopping channels are still on the air, but there were people who watched those religiously. I remember when TV switched over to digital broadcast, there was a big to-do in the town I lived in because a bunch of people watched a low-power broadcast station that broadcast a home shopping channel 24/7 and they wouldn’t be able to watch it anymore since it couldn’t afford the upgrade.
This makes perfect sense. It’s been trained to answer questions to you satisfaction, not truthfully. It was made to prioritize your satisfaction over truth, so it will lie if necessary.
It’s also really hard not to train it like that as people rarely ask about something they know the answer to, so the more confident it sounds while spewing bullshit the more likely it is to pass, while “I don’t know” is always unsatisfactory and gets it punished.
Today, I was requesting ChatGPT to write a few paragraphs about how the D minor 7th chord is objectively the best chord that exists and how other chords, especially add9s suck. Fairly simple request to satisfy.

I love my job, and I love seeing positive changes in my clients. And I can confirm that it’s ~90% dealing with people whose parents sucked. The others usually experienced some kind of adult trauma or just want to explore themselves more.
Everyone’s parents suck, and today’s kids will fuck up their kids also. It’s almost unavoidable as part of the separation process, where kids will try to be as different from their parents as possible.
This causes conflicts and parents reacting in “wrong” ways to their kids being morons. :)
There is such a thing as abuse. Not everyone’s parents suck. Some beat their children, some love them. Sure, everyone hates their parents at some point, and it’s all relative. You’re making it sound like abusive parents don’t exist.
You’re a child, that means I provide food, lodging and transportation in exchange for you taking care of my emotional needs. I’m a good parent because you haven’t starved to death.
Except they never consented to that deal, and you made them too young to make major life decisions. Fix that first, then ask them again when they’re in their 20 if they’d like to help you. But I think you might already know what position you put yourself in. Enjoy the daycare home in your old age
