Im guessing all of these (or at least top left and bottom right) are from the spanish civil war. CNT/FAI were anarchist organisations that fought (and lost) against the fascist franquists.

The Oz character was definitely high as fuck when they wrote those replies

TexasDrunk ,

I’m familiar with the shit that Oz wrote and can tell you a lot of people have said that shit for years without chemical assistance. We used to call them nuts. Now they’re being treated like they’re part of regular discourse by certain folks.

It’s not even casual internet surfing anymore. While looking for a job several months ago, I had to create a new account on every. Single. Fucking. Application.

Rolive ,

I have several different Workday accounts because of that.

LordCrom ,

Literally 43 workday accounts. And it couldn’t reuse the info I put in 42 times before

LemmyKnowsBest ,

Agonizing. I’m starting to understand why some people choose to buck the system and live off the land in the wilderness.

AeonFelis ,

I never used Workday - why do you need different accounts? Are there per-account limits you need to bypass? Or do multiple companies use their software and you need a different account for each company?

BallsandBayonets ,

The latter. Every time I have to job hunt, it’s mentally exhausting from how frustrating it is. I have over 90 logins to various job sites and that isn’t counting the ones using Google login or the ones I just let my browser save and I never copied to my password library.

If I ever have to job hunt again I’m printing out paper resumes and hitting the pavement like it’s 1980 again.

Rolive ,

It’s probably due to privacy laws that Workday doesn’t share your information with other clients.

pyre ,

it’s more memorable and had insane scenes, and CGI that holds up to this day. i would argue it is deserved.

also people don’t think about it but t800 turning out to be friendly was a great reveal (if you weren’t spoiled by the trailer).

someguy3 ,

I like how half the people are saying T1 isn’t overlooked (compared to T2), and the other half are saying T2 deservedly gets all the attention. And no one gets the irony.

pyre ,

i mean yeah, those are different people. i agree that t1 is underrated but that’s what my comment was about: if t2 wasn’t such a banger t1 would’ve been in a much better spot in our collective sci-fi memory.

someguy3 , (edited )

I said overlooked, not underrated.

And the point is half the people say 'it’s so obviously not overlooked!" and the other half say “it’s obviously overlooked for good reasons!” And they can’t see the other comment. The irony is palpable.

pyre ,

are you a professional hair splitter or do you do this as a hobby

someguy3 ,

Lol I’m just pointing out the irony of people can’t see half of the comments.

Pacattack57 ,

There is no irony. T1 is not overlooked. T2 gets more attention because it’s a better movie. We still acknowledge that T1 is a great movie.

jose1324 ,

The point of vending machines is convenience of getting something cold on the go (or snacks, but a shelf works for those too)…this solved a problem no one had to make a statement no one cares about…GJ?

kerrigan778 ,

problematicPanther ,

I’m seriously trying to find a use case for these things. If you’re prepping for the apocalypse or stockpiling, you’ll buy ammo in bulk from a store. If you’re going hunting, you probably have a stock of ammo, and if not you’ll probably buy a few boxes from the store. And it’s not like Walmart closes, so you can even get it at 2am. What niche are these supposed to serve?

verity_kindle ,

Lots of rural Walmarts close at night now, for a variety of reasons, such as to cut costs, reduce shoplifting. Ours recently got rid of their plastic handbaskets because too many were being stolen. Not all flyover country has the same set of troubles. This is one small dataset I’m offering, I realize, but we’re not that different from people in urban areas.
