I work in the meat department and you cannot imagine how often I get someone from a different part of the store bringing me something (like a pet bringing me a present) like “Oh yeah I found this 10 lb. pork butt behind the cheezits” or “This tenderloin fell behind the register and we only noticed it because it started to smell” (real stories)
I’m not sure I follow. The day before, it was over $40. It was dropped for prime day (I assume that’s the end of the graph - 39.59) and then 20% taken off as a discount. The $31 sale price is lower than both used and new. What am I missing here.
Agreed. It doesn’t look like anything fishy after deciphering the graph. The normal price is usually 39.59 and it was indeed 39.59 before the sale and it’s now 20% off for 31.67.
A lot of these proce comparison sites are struggling with the sale, came camel camel has the same issues. It’s because the sale isnt universal, only for prime subscribers.
Is it 20% off it’s lowest price? No it isn’t. But it’s still lower than its lowest price.
Prices in Amazon fluctuate wildly. I have seen them be as much as 20% up or down in a matter of weeks.
We should spread out across it, if the lemmy.world hack and the fact that its admins are even flirting with the idea of fedding with threads are any indication
Yeah I was thinking of jumping on to .ml. When I first started I thought hey they are real big! They must be the best. But nah I want nothing to do with Threads. On Mastadon I’m on mastadon.social and am thinking of switching as well for the same reason.
My guess would be that HTTP-GET requests were collected and the information about the OS was extracted.
If this would be true, the reason of this spike could be that one big browser randomly decided to not send OS information in GET requests and then the “bug?” was found and fixed.
My wife and I see this all the time. We’ve made a game of it. “Choices were made” - can get interesting imagining why someone’s dropped the other item there (like a food item in with the cleaning supplies…)
