true. it kinda sucks seeing people argue against ai when they don’t understand it. like, there’s many things to criticize about ai, I’m not saying they’d like ai if they knew more about it. I just wish their hatred was more educated.
Idk, wrt Lora specifically. I agree in general it’d be good if haters of anything were more educated in that thing, but they probably don’t need to be that educated, especially in niche topics.
I’d consider myself an AI hater.
My job is also building ai-assisted tools.
But also I don’t need to understand how the AI works to understand it’s use, beyond a bit of prompt engineering.
I’m talking about LoRA, not LoRa. I’m a fan of both though. I’ve been considering getting a Lilygo T-Echo to run Meshtastic for a while. Maybe build a solar powered RC plane and put a Meshtastic repeater in there, seems like a cool project.
en.wikipedia.org/…/Fine-tuning_(deep_learning)Low-rank adaptation (LoRA) is an adapter-based technique for efficiently fine-tuning models. The basic idea is to design a low-rank matrix that is then added to the original matrix.[13] An adapter, in this context, is a collection of low-rank matrices which, when added to a base model, produces a fine-tuned model. It allows for performance that approaches full-model fine-tuning with less space requirement. A language model with billions of parameters may be LoRA fine-tuned with only several millions of parameters.
The trick is not to kill them yourself, but have factories and animal farms do it while deluding yourself into believing that there is a humane way to killing a living being when the reality is there are only less painful ways. Also, from the other side of the aisle, the trick is to delude yourself into thinking that animals would have any problems eating and preying on you. If cattle had no place in human society, their numbers would significantly decrease. What does that say about human societies with large socioeconomic disparity who are treated by cattle by the rich as they get increasingly automated?
There’s no point to this comment, it has been released into the wild so that it may be free.
wait… are you suggesting everyone just slaughter their own food? Because the specialization of labor and labor of scale was to blame, not the desire to distance oneself from slaughter. That may be the case nowadays but 150 years ago it was nothing for most families to slaughter their own chickens.
*please talk to a dietitian or your doctor, if possible, before drastically changing your diet
I’ve already had to drop dairy out of my diet, so I figure that going vegan isn’t necessarily that much of a stretch anymore. It’s not because of moral or ethical reasons, though: it’s entirely because handling raw meat squicks me out. I currently have to keep up the charade because my family are kind of dicks about it…it sucks.
… I figure that going vegan isn’t necessarily that much of a stretch anymore. It’s not because of moral or ethical reasons
Then it’s not veganism. Veganism is not a diet. It is an ethical position on the treatment of animals. All aspects of our treatment of animals. You cannot be almost vegan or sometimes vegan or partially vegan any more than you can be almost a feminist. Someone who believes women should be allowed to own property, but not his wife, is not almost a feminist.
Me too, keeping a box of disposable food service gloves in the kitchen fixed this cheaply. It may not help you the same but it made food prep bearable for me.
With the extremely niche categorise I’ve seen, unless you mean something actually illegal, I just don’t really agree.
in my experience the niche content on mainstream sites tends to be generic meaningless content made primarily by uh, creators who aren’t actually in the community but are just dabbling around
So tldr yes free does exist but you prefer to pay for quality. It’s pretty much the same with even vanilla categories.
Not illegal stuff, just very fringe stuff. There’s like 5 videos that float around and all link back to paid sources. Once you’ve finished to those same 5 videos for the 30th time, you’re fucking bored with them, and you have to seek out homemade stuff by being involved in online communities for it, or by paying for it. Most of the time the homemade shit you also have to pay for.
Feels like this is more a specific scenario than a genre, but I’m gonna take your word for it.
I would be interested to know just what is so hard to find given some of the things I’ve a friend sometimes searched for. But not enough to want to make others say aloud what they searched for.
I think I know a bit what you’re talking about, I think.
Niche may also mean a particular person. There was an OF girl I was obsessed with. Not in an emotional way, but damn did she push my buttons, her makeup, outfits, poses, all that and more. And the tiniest titties, if you’re into that. Paid for a couple of months just to get some more.
PrincessRosea69 if anyone wants to find her on reddit, see what I mean.
I don’t understand how so many people are taking “Program with level 0 access shipped faulty code that caused the OS to refuse to boot until a single file is removed” as “Windows bad lmao”. Not that I disagree with Windows bad, just the over liberal application and acting like this is some sort of Linux win.
Give me kernel level access and I can make anything refuse to boot
This article has a hard paywall, so I found another source.
According to this article it seems the impact was limited because it only effected the most recent Debian server release. So the issue was limited, discovered quickly, and easily fixed.
The recent windows issues was extensive for all windows machines, discovered after massive outages, and difficult to fix.
I’m not sure this is a win for Linux, but there a number of decisions that CrowdStrike made that failed to live up to the trust issue by WHQL certification.
I think that this didn’t have the same extent for Linux is pure luck.
I would actually be surprised if he releases anything of value. Trump refused to release his taxes, and emulating Trump’s destruction of democratic norms is a base-ante show of fealty right now.
Damn Snopes could’ve just said it was False, but they went above and beyond by linking all the spiciest memes. Including this one: x.com/MeachamDr/status/1815389845897789815
