Hate to point this out, but the fact there is a “C” on the sign kinda shows that no America did not adopt the metric system. If the US did there would be no reason to have “F” or “C” by the degrees as they are the last hold out.
No, even if you only had one unit for a physical quantity, you would still need to specify that unit to know which physical quantity you are describing. E.g. “That object over there is 15” vs “That object over there is 15 kg”.
The symbol for temperature, measured in Celsius, is “°C”. It’s atomic and can’t be separated, since that would result in °, which represents the angle of something, not the temperature, and C, which is the symbol for Coulomb, which measures electric charge.
In the reference picture of this clock the degree symbol does that. This is something you can see outside of the US on almost all temp readings, my phone for example does not have F or C next to it. (It is still in Celsius since I am not a monster)
I disagree, and would argue that both are about equally frequent. For example, my phone shows °C in the weather widget, while the weather app only uses °. That does not change the fact that the actual unit is °C, and that would not change even if the whole world switched away from °F, and your original comment about the display having °C implying that °F still exists is therefore incorrect.
Even if there isn’t tech to buy I’d immediately make infinite money off the instant private delivery of goods. You would have every drug dealer and government in the world blowing up your phone to get your services.
Or just vacation packages. I’ll teleport your family to <insert expensive flight destination of choice> for the price of just 1 ticket, or half that, etc. My siblings and cousins wanted to do a family trip with ticket prices between 1-2k usd per person.
I am displeased with premium these days. My use of premium was to remove ads and give creators a little more money. The issue today is every single video will have a sponsor spot that is an ad. So here I am paying extra to get rid of ads and the creator just made their own. Using sponsor block has become a requirement to get past the wall of ads.
I don’t mind in video sponsor spots because at least the creators are being paid directly for those. Personally, I just skip em or if it’s a creator that makes them funny, I may just listen anyway.
Those sponsor spots absolutely blow my mind. They’re there, forever in the video no matter how times it’s viewed. That’s a lot of trust to have in an advertising relationship, both the creator (who is basically tattooing a person in a portrait they’re painting with an ad) and company have to determine if it’s enough compensation based on… feels I guess lol. I’m pretty sure there is some after data but how do you know which videos take off or not? Then if there’s any controversy, whole things a mess and I hope they get a lot for it.
I don’t like these segments because they are either unavailable in my region or they are a promotion of a shitty product like Op**a **, that later will get called out for being from a terrible company.
This is so cute. We had two dogs and a cat, and one of our dogs was super cuddly and needy, and the other was more independent and liked her own space. So, the needy dog started sleeping with our cat all the time. The kitty liked him a lot too, so it worked out great.
Just wiped my phone or I’d find and post a picture, but this looks so much like my dog that died a few years that I legitimately almost started to cry when I saw the picture:(
