Right now, the only method I found is to click on the expando, then right click on the image and open it in a new tab. Is there a way to make it so I can just click it once? I can’t imagine any possible scenario where I’d want to see a large but not full size image....
When we go out of our comfort zone, go for some new adventure or new challenge, we will naturally pay more attention to what happens in our minds as we’re going through this new experience....
This fall I’m planning to watch the Star Trek TOS movies with some friends on discord, as well as a few episodes of TOS/TAS to introduce the characters/setting/etc. So basically I’m searching for recommendations for episodes to watch...
How are they able to perform well under intense pressure? Literally life or death situations. I’m talking about hardcore parkour or crazy people climbing skyscrappers....
We have been composting for about 6 months now, and I’ve noticed that flies leave it alone. Crows will pick through it, and it’s got a ton of worms but no flies. I have flies in my yard, but they avoid the compost. I’m following guidelines on what I can and cannot put in it. Any ideas? Not that I want flies in it at all,...
I recently started up FreshRSS in my docker environment. I was super excited about the web scraping feature....
I’m fairly green at self-hosting, recently upgraded to running Proxmox on an old PC from OMV. A fairly simple setup for Plex, Nextcloud, PiHole, and some docker containers. I have an old Ryzen 5 2600 I’d like to replace the current CPU with (an even older FX-8350), but I’ll need a new motherboard with an AM4 socket....
I have a self hosted media server, and I want my family to use it more so I don’t have to do everything for them. I think the best way to do that is to have a wiki available on the local network where they can see a reference of how to use things. What is the best way to accomplish this?...
I’m new to lemmy and linux, been daily driving Ubuntu 23 for 2 months and had nothing wrong happen, when I went distro hopping, witch I won’t ever do again, everytime I tried to mount a steam apps folder it wouldn’t show my apps, idk if this is a bug but I’ve gotten it fixed by creating a steam folder then copying all my...
I recently switched from TrueNAS to Synology for my NAS. TrueNAS had served me well, but I no longer had the time to manage it effectively....
I’m wondering if anyone here has managed to purchase quality prints of any of the matte paintings featured in star trek? I’ve done a bit of searching online without much luck. I’m finally living in a place where I can hang things on the wall and thought it would be nice to have some framed matte paintings of Bajor,...

I have a few, my fav is Jessie Gender, who gives insightful reviews but doesnt shy away from criticism of Trek. I also like how she looks at things from a gender critical angle, which is something few peoppe think about. Sean Ferrick is another cool one, as are the guys from Trekyards who are more focussed on tech and ships. Who...
Haven’t been following too closely, is the 6a just the better value atm? Or does the 7a have features that are outstanding
I want to create the kind of mud-pit rich people soak in when they visit a spa in Yurp....
I am trying both Mlem and Wefwef at the moment, and even though I select the “subscribed” options for my main feed, the posts I see are different. It seems like WefWef shows me top posts from the day before and Mlem is more current? But I still haven’t figured it out.
Will I still see contents from people who are from servers that don’t defederate from Meta’s Threads?
It was a really early CD-Rom game, probably 1993ish. You started off in the stone ages using sticks and rocks, fighting off bad guys and solving puzzles, and you’d move through time using the weapons of that era. I don’t think I would classify it as an educational game because outside of the weapons and settings, I don’t...
Is there a dedicated place for it yet? I’d love to contribute posts but I’m just not sure where to put them yet. Thanks in advance!
I want to self host my own lemmy instance for personal use. I have seen there Github page and it is really easy to set up but I have some questions?...
