When subscribing to communities it occasionally says "Subscribe Pending" - any ideas why?
Is this based on instance performance accepting the subscription, or is it a generalize Lenny bug where it doesn’t send it properly?

I just noticed that the recently updated version of Battle.net cannot be installed correctly on PopOS anymore. I can still launch and play Overwatch 2 with a previously installed version. However, if I try to install it from scratch, it would get installed but won’t run in the foreground. There is a background process and...
I run to Ubuntu or Linux Mint on everything except my gaming PC. Every year or two I try out Linux for gaming and usually go back to windows. With steam deck out it seems like Linux gaming is the best it’s ever been. With that said I’m still a bit frustrated with freezing (halo mcc) and Bluetooth being super flakey on my...

AFAIK they aren’t there yet right? Should the developers of lemmy do it or should it be up to the instances to decide whether to do it or how to implement them?
I’ve heard a few people on here are starting their own personal instances so they can federate independently with different instances without relying on a larger, third-party instance. If I wanted to do this, would I need to own an actual server, separate from my PC?
I’m currently running homebridge and pihole from an older Lenovo (i5, 256 SSD, 8GB ram) laptop (tweaked power settings to allow idle when closed) hardwired into a switch. Do you have any...
