I went HAM on my most recent one. They’re anonymous but I’m sure my direct manager can tell my writing style. But the place I work for has been in refusing to do any hiring including backfills so now I’m a team of 1 doing what 7 people used to do and I let them know I’m not pleased.
The guy is already giving honest feedback on “anonymous” surveys… He’s probably on that list. At least he could try to improve his situation, and look for a new job at the same time since it’s clear they don’t respect his efforts.
Just FYI, they’re not really anonymous. These surveys get reported back to each individual manager with the responses, ratings given, and counts of staff completed; so it is very easy for managers to discern who wrote what.
I figure they aren’t. I didn’t curse or name anyone by name, I just made it pretty clear that the understaffing is job performance at a pretty severe level and that the workload has everyone miserable
Was pretty skeptical about all this stuff, but it seems like y’all have succeeded in moving a good chunk of people from Reddit to this new place, which hopefully bodes well for the future.
Hopefully y’all will be able to keep moderation functioning well, especially considering that a lot of Folks’ll stay split between here and the Reddit subs. Like the biggest reason (IMO, of course) that r/DaystromInstitute is/was one of the best subs out there was just how effective the moderators are/were.

As long as there is enough people here to have a thriving discussion, we can be self-sustaining.
As an actual currency, it’s functionally useless. Even if every retailer on the planet were to accept it, the overhead for making the transaction is just a non-starter
Because of that, it’s entirely just funny money. Even further, since it’s entirely a virtual asset, if the power goes out, your wallet goes with it
The environmental impacts are horrifying. This fact alone means that it should all be eradicated. Destroying the planet for Internet funny money isn’t an acceptable proposition
For a decentralized currency, people sure do love centralizing under large exchanges, and the massive losses, thefts, fraud, etc. have shown that no matter how “decentralized” it’s supposed to be, it’s still susceptible to the same bullshit as any other currency
Its high profile association with grifters, scammers, malware, and dark web shenanigans has completely soured its image in the public mind
It’s entirely a speculative investment scam now. There’s no way to decouple it from that.
Regarding your bluetooth issues on your 8bitdo, I had an issue with my 8bitdo pro 2 where on linux there was a higher input delay vs Windows. I then updated the controller firmware and that fixed it. Works great on linux now.
Maybe try updating the controller’s firmware, if you haven’t yet anyway.
Regarding dual booting, I do dual boot, sometimes I like using windows, others i like using linux. It’s nice to have the flexibility. Ideally i would like to switch to linux one day, but there are still a few small issues, at least on KDE wayland.
The #1 red flag to an employer is “I don’t NEED a job.” before my VA pension got bumped to 100%, I was looking for a bs job to keep busy and you could see the switch in their head flip everytime when I’d explain “I’m retired, I’m not scrambling for money I’m looking for a good fit.”
Employers lose their gdamn minds if you aren’t exploitable. They know that means if I schedule time off for a trip or concert, I’m not going to cancel with two days notice to cover some shift. They know it means I’m not going to stand for 3 managers blaming my entry level ass for their mistakes and/or incompetence. It’s garbage and really speaks to the core of capitalism.
He definitely improves as the series goes on. I think most of the hate comes from Season 1 where he's a genius kid who knows more than all the senior staff of the flagship. He gets a lot better when his stories aren't just him whining about how no one recognizes how much of a genius he is.
I feel as though the user base is a large part of the problem. I might be wrong but the accessibility of social media that have apps is a lot easier for the younger population who these days are flooding social media. I don’t think a lot of people use forums or currently Testflight apps such as Memmy (for Lemmy). The iPhone is the phone for influencers and if Lemmy officially releases an iPhone app the same problems may happen.
