I think the play is to force everyone onto the official app so we’re totally locked in. Then, they can enshittify it for maximum lucrativeness, and we won’t be able to switch away from it.
Other people have said the same, but Apollo was my most used App on my phone.
I find that during the day, I mainly browse Reddit on my phone, as I can’t stand not having RES on my work laptop. I’ll have to see what sort of adjustments I’ll have to make, as I was looking at using both Reddit (via browser on my laptop) and Lemmy (via wefwef on my phone) whilst the lemmy community gains a bit more traction.
Doesn’t take long to get over that redd slut. I’ve been here on .world since 1.21k total users on the 9th. I haven’t touched old redd ever since. Every time I see results show up in a search, it’s like an annoying text message after leaving that cheating whore. Ive got more self-respect than any fool that responds to such nonsense. The only reasonable alternatives are things that give you a direct link to image. I used pixhost a few times and it was fine but I’m happy to find alternatives.
I disagree. Terrible take. It’s never wise to discount, alienate, or exclude our youth. Growth is the name of the game and they’re the ones who are going to be ushering in hopefully a better future. Who will they learn from if not us? You want them stewing with each other?
No. We maintain whatever nebulous internet “culture” we like and establish rules. Anyone, young or old, who doesn’t adhere can suck eggs. That way young people learn how to act and we can hear them tell us about all the ways we need to better society.
Truly I believe that the children who develop during this time of overstimulation and rapid technological advancement will emerge maybe a bit… maladapted but better than us. Humans can be so resilient especially under supportive circumstances. Our intelligence is adaptive. So if you want to make a great internet community, maintain your respect for our kids.

It has everything. Snappy combat, build diversity, varying enemies, incredible story and characters, beautiful pixel art, and unique puzzles.
The combat is fantastic. It’s very responsive and has so much diversity in each element you obtain. The gear has so much variety to augment your builds.
I love a great story in games. I adore the story in this game. Lea is a compelling main character while being one of few words (literally). Her friends she makes along the way are charming and frustrating but in a redeeming way. The universe has so much lore to discover in every facet, and the real-life MMO setting is captivating to explore. If you aren’t a fan of puzzles, you can reduce the timing of elements of those puzzles to make them easier to solve/execute. A good handful are time-based execution ones, so this feature is very helpful if you’re ever having a hard time pulling off one or two puzzles.
