Many people believe that too much immigration causes the destruction of a nation or of an ethnic group by means such as the disintegration of its political and social institutions, of its culture, language, national feelings, religion, and its economic existence.
I mean, people want to keep their customs and traditions, so immigrants will bring their own customs and traditions, and if you have lots of immigrants, their customs and traditions will become the main ones in that place.
True that, but you see the effects locally. Also, you need an arguably small portion of the population being immigrants for them to become relevant in the society, no need to replace everyone. Relevant minorities get legislation protecting them and their traditions/beliefs.
I mean, sure. Iām not debating whether itās right or wrong, Iām just saying that naturally, once a minority becomes relevant, they start demanding recognition, especially if their culture differs quite a bit from the āhostā country, which is not wrong in and of itself. I feel like itās more evident when the immigrant population differs quite a bit from the host country. This is just my opinion though, based on my local and anectodal experiences, so feel free to disagree with me, Iām open to dialogue.
But I feel like Iām sidetracking from the main question here.
I just was rejected from 5 jobs in a row. I straight up asked how I could have been a more competitive candidate. I got some specific feedback about software I didnāt know (fair), an answer on a questionnaire that was milquetoast (also fair), but mostly kind things said. Theyāre not going to drag you but it can be a productive conversation.
IP law firms tried to get their cases into my country and they only got a 50% success rate on court so they stopped trying (cost benefit thing I suppose).
Also private trackers in my country do not allow the use of VPN (why do they care IDK, they say it is to have more control on who join), so thereās little point on getting a VPN for piracy here.
