There should be a universal community search engine for the Fediverse where you type in a community description or keyword and the service returns a list of all similar communities across all of the instances. It should be called Feddle (the Fediverse Google.)
is there a tool like bazarr for automatically getting dub audios of movies/series in other languages? i’d like to share my jellyfin library with some relatives, but they struggle to read subtitles/generally prefer dubs in our language, and so far i’ve been unable to find any tool to make the process easier. thanks in advance
Why You Should Know: if your kids are interested in Blippi, they might find it on their own, and you should watch it before they do to prepare yourself for it.

I was talking to my girlfriend about how some people have a shadow person/dark figure and was wondering if Lemmiters would like to share their story so she, and others, get to know about them....
I am an old internet user. One of the things that used to drive me nuts was when all these corporate products like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc. would change their entire UIs on a whim without any user feedback. I am a big fan of the pre-material design language UIs that did not contain any shiny/glossy elements of...
Ok this is an odd one. If I am on an Iphone running wefwef (now voyager) and i search for (just for example) [email protected] it will find that community. But if I go to my pc and do the same search it will say “Nothing to see here - this feed is completely empty”. the only differences are : on my phone I have the app on...

TIL that the shortest war in history took place between Britain and Zanzibar on August 27, 1896, lasting only 38 minutes. The conflict arose due to a succession dispute within the Zanzibar Sultanate after the death of the ruling Sultan. As tensions escalated, the British government intervened and issued an ultimatum to the rival...
I recently set up Nextcloud, and so far I’m really enjoying it. With the exception of Gmail and Backblaze, I’m no longer using any online services that aren’t self-hosted on my own hardware; Nextcloud has allowed me to get rid of the last few Google services I was using....

Is this supposed to happen? I thought it assigned a special ip and that’s the one you use. For me I’m able to access my original local ip address outside my network, and from the provided tailscale ip. luckily when I turn off tailscale I can’t access either.

Hey! I appreciate any comments, I would like to encrypt my data using SSD native on disk encryption, change the key to a “dummy” key leaving the data hidden at rest, then later swap in the “correct” key and begin using the data again. I have taken a look at sedutil-cli and nvme-cli but I can’t see a way to change the...
Hi everyone! Yesterday I bought Hearts of Iron 4 on Steam but it didn’t run at all on wayland. I tried using Proton Experimental, Proton GE latest, Proton 8.0.2 but none worked (even though on ProtonDB people say it works with proton 8.0.2). Then I switched to Xorg (which I never use and I would like not to), and it suddenly...
