I’m about to sound like the ignorant American I am, so I apologize in advance! We’re looking at a trip to Germany, and possibly Prague, and we’ve noticed that a lot of the hotel names are French and a couple hotels that aren’t named in French have replied to comments with things like “Bonjour! etc etc” What’s up...
[SOLVED kinda]...
For example, I set firefox to some custom sink using pavucontrol, but now I want to reset it to default. How can I do this without using pavucontrol, just cli?...
I have started encoding, but have now gotten to making videos where multiple video streams need to be combined from a bluray source, into one video file - Does anyone know any programs for this, or any in depth guides on Remuxing / etc?
A few genuine signals quickly become noise as everyone tries to be heard, demanding more and louder signals to stand out.

I’m reading the ActivityPub spec here and it seems pretty fit for client-to-server communications. Yeah, it might be somewhat bulkier than your typical rest api, but it’s more universal, which begs the question: why do mastodon and lemmy both decided to implement custom (and incompatible) APIs for their clients to talk to...
TL;DR - What are you running as a means of “antivirus” on Linux servers?...
I like lemmy but I want to be able to interact with pixelfed mastodon etc. what apps have the best ability to do this?
In the context of VPNs for example. Some VPNs store and provide information about what sites you go to third parties. Third parties analyze it and figure out what adds to show you. Hmm… then let them show me those adds they want to show me. I do hate adds as a whole and use an add blocker, thus. But I couldn’t care less what...
Update: I installed CS:GO and it runs insanely smooth. Metro didnt start at all. I now have cycled through many compatibility options and tried proton experimental, latest and now linux runtime. Now it works on solid 60 fps!...
