I am trying to set up my own server for movies/tv with all the bells and whistles to make it the most streaming service like where I can browse and have automatically torrented and downloaded for viewing. I am new to all of it so a guide would be really helpful....
So far Jerboa seems like the move, Thunder looks nicer, but it doesn’t seem to play nice with this instance so that’s kind of dead in the water, at least for now.

My home ISP does CGNAT for IPv4, but provides native IPv6. I can use IPv6 just fine to access most of my resources, except for one specific server. I can access the server over IPv4 from my home network, and either over v4 or v6 from other networks I’ve tried. But I can’t access it over IPv6 from my home network....
I’d like to play some games from my nintendo switch in higher resolution. Is the ecosystem for that sort of thing mature, or should I wait for the bugs to get ironed out, first?
Hi! I want to self host lemmy on my homelab. I have a lot of services installed but only a couple of them are exposed on the internet using subpaths like host.com/plex or host.com/nextcloud....
Or is the website the preferred way?

what is better for single user instance, or maybe something small like under 10 users (no communities)? which is lighter on resources? how much storage should I allocate?...
I’ve contributed to the project for a few months and used it for over a year and I still don’t know the difference. I think I asked the maintainers once, but I forget the answer.

(full disclosure - I posted this on reddit about 6 years ago, just saw it while I was deleting my reddit posts and thought I would port it over)...
I was actually somewhat ok with going back to certain Reddit communities (although NOT just mindless scrolling) after the blackout. There’s a lot of communities where (I thought) there’s literally no alternatives....
